Do you more experienced e-mini traders generally find that during the hours before an afternoon FOMC announcement, the market meanders and is not profitable for trend-following systems? Thanks for any insight.
I really dislike the Fed days myself. I do ok in the first hour or so of the day, but after that I would definatly do better at the beach or something. Brandon
I concur. The first hour is decent. Then pack up shop. I've just never had much luck trading the Fed news, with all the fake outs. Perhaps if my patience improves..
The first ten minutes after Fed's announcement is usually to volatile for the faint-hearted to trade.
