I have coppies of email where all I asked for was the trading metrics of his system, as I was genuinly intrested in purchasing his system. He kept dancing around the topic but never supplied me with the figures. Yes yes yes he says that his system is profitable. Calculating expectency is not rocket science. Posting figures of a system's capability would be a step any honest vendor would do. If I am going to fork up money even if it be a depreciated $ I would like to know what am I buying maybe the shills don't.
Most of us are not particularly seeking your approval of how they post. If you want to be a censor, you are in the wrong place. Especially when you are responding to my post defending MR against someone else. So, try to avoid deciding what others are allowed to say, thank you.
Where did you send the E-Mails, Chat, Support ?. I don't normally get these unless their are issues. We have support and sale personal which handles these E-Mails. I checked I don't see a PM on ET from you. Question did they send you a spreadsheet with complete system results ?. I would like to know what happened so I can address it with my support staff.
Email to Sales@tradersstudio. As I have stated nothing was provided. Still this should all be posted on the web page along with a through and detailed discription in order to minimise ongoing emails with " sales ". My experience with vendors, with so far just one exception and that's MTP., has been give me your money but forget any backup info. or support or etc. I could provide a list, maybe I should post them, of vendors who when asked questions on system metric either won't reply or start dancing the salsa or have a set of different complex measurements but nothing verifyable. Van Tharp has defined a simple, yet easily understandable way ,without going into complex statistics, of measuring a systems profitability. Whether it is a good, bad or ugly method it is a way of grading apples using the same unit of measurement.
Murray - you say you want to limit the number of people trading your system, but how useful is that really? Don't you really want to limit the amount of $ traded on you system? Once you sell one copy to the right hedge fund the $ could be unlimited. Also, don't most systems fail within months of coming into the public domain including black box? Why is yours different? Not trying to be negative, just curious.
So sales did not even send you a latest results spreadsheet ?. If you look though the forum and see different posts you will see that people report our support is very good. When was this ? What dates. You can PM me on ET and give me your E-Mail , Real Name and when you sent the E-mails. I want to follow up on this.
When someone buys my top systems, the ones I would trade. I make them sign a NDA , which includes only being able to use it for personal use, so a hedge fund can't trade it by buying a retail copy. Yes, I might not know but if I find out their downside is huge.
Ok. Must have missed the second question: Also, don't most systems fail within months of coming into the public domain including black box? Why is yours different?
Yes most do. The reason is a system must be based on a strong valid premise. Mine are many other vendors systems are not. My systems are also simple , normally 1 page of code or less. More complex the system the less likely it will continue to work in the future. Trend Harmony and SuperTurtle have been out for 24 months now and continue to work.
