Trend Following dying?

  1. Vienna

    Vienna

The way I see it, the detractors- T666 or whoever- claim that all these trades are fakes. So- since they are so completely sure- why not put a bit of money where their mouth is, especially with such little risk and such a high reward?
That way they would either a. compensate the trader for being a nuisance or b. reap a huge, justified reward.

So- come on- why doesn't T666 challenge Spyders 40 lot trade under these terms?

  2. Mr Green will explain it to you. He will drag out GAAP and go through several sections and you will pay for his time.

If you have the print with you he will explain that to you as well.

If you take your backtest, he will explain that to you too and probably suggest what you should do next.

  3. Once again, your misstating facts. Mr. Green is a super nice guy and is not an IRS agent.

First step would be to stick to the facts prior to continuing the false statements.

Why don't you start that thread?

  4. For those who are interested, GAAP covers a lot of topics in terms of required reporting.

One particular field is ore bodies and how they are reported. There are standard categories with respect to a topic called "proven" Ore only has value if it is profitably extrcted. Before extraction there are many questions.

Neglecting all the humor of T666 and his posts, for any matter financial, using the traditions of GAAP is valuable. Most of the time, statements made are qualitifed using GAAP as the standard.

There is no way any time I would spend would be deemed of any value.

The same is true of the mistaken back testing of T666. What he did has no connection to what PEP and its applications do. They are PVT, SCT and SSR.

All of this is just another opportunity for me to present anything I feel like in a forum.

Part of life is dealing rationally with substantive content. The market offers much more than three times the ATR daily. Extracting it is done in many many ways. They could be compared.

Unfortunately, it cannot be proven by any means that something cannot be done. This is known as a dilemma. What would be a work around for this dilemma? The solutions are manifold and very common in many walks of life and in many fields. Duplicating is a very sound approach; a lot of people have followed that path.

In GAAP there are specified data collection techniques. No one goes through examining the guts of computers. Business records are what are used.

For me it has not been unsual to submit software coding to answer questions of regulatory agencies. One of the aspects of that is redacting.

The best general example of how the parties deal with IPATS is the infringement prosecution procedure. This is known to litigators and the CPA's who work with them. NDA's do not remotely suffice in these processes. Only the bench is allowed to view stuff and then the bench reports to the defendant's and/or plaintiff's folk.

  5. I see you really have no clue--- thats the hudson river directly across from the time warner center ( the twin towers looking buildings). Plus the shot is from the surf shack--- not his office.

by the way, Surfer has moved offices to 641 Lexington with his own operation over the last several weeks.

    best,

  8. First of all, you haven't been trading for four generations. Get your facts straight.

Second, I DO NOT know "full well" that you did any such thing. Who the hell are you to say what I do and do not know?

Third, here's something that I really do know. That you make grandiose claims like this and continually back out of proving them in a sound, iron-clad way like an audited record. You made this claim and I offered to pay for the audit but all you've done is obfuscate and make baseless personal attacks.

I do reach my goal of 3x H-L in ES as a practice.

Finally, I find your orientation reprehensible... making claims like you do on a website teeming with newbies shouldn't be allowed unless you back them up with real proof.

  9. Mr. Green, by the shear fact that he is a CPA, he is an agent for the IRS. Read the documentation a CPA must sign. Whether he is an ex IRS agent or not . . . isn't relevant to my statement.

I never said he WASN'T a "nice" guy. I simply find ALL CPA's scary . . . including my daughter, who is a CPA. My opinions regarding CPA's are 180 degrees off topic and not relevant in this thread.

None of my statements regarding the Mr. Green in the picture were false. They were entirely factual regarding being an agent of the IRS and also my opinion regarding "him" being scary.

In regards to starting that thread . . . I trade and being expected to post during trading hours, instead of posting at my leisure when I get some down time, is counter productive. Now if you or anyone else would like to toss a sizable wager on the outcome . . . I would sacrifice some trading time to "take you to school".

  10. This is where we started.

the profits, however were to be given to DR's without Borders.

T666 stepped in at this point to take a consideration off the table because of lack of trust.

Subsequently he has returned to his quest to prove something can't be done.

One bottom line is that people are doing it after transference and the upper considerred limit is twice the one that T666 has his continuing hardon about.

Now, we a are just giving Dave a chance to say he konws somebody and T666 is still carrying out his irrational crusade. The person who's account I offerred to trade has gone through a couple more aliases by now and is quoting a testing system that cannot test intra day snippets that are posted on the Fidelity web places.

Humorously the quoted person stole the logic from one thread and forgot to include the _______ * logic that gated the flow of signals.

    * I redacted this since the logic shown did not ID its functional purpose and so far no one has observed the function.
