Several people are suggesting to you that you have missed the mark in your inquiry. Consider the possibility that the elements you are concerned with do not matter. Consider the possibility that the two time periiods you are using do not matter. Consider the fact that you cannot even express the inquiry in a reasonable way to consider the two market directions in which you are interested. As a correllary, what if you included the third direction the market takes just so you would have a comprehensive view. Most often, people use the market to make money with money and a strategy. You are not recognizing this in any manner so far. You seem to be sitting on a little tedder todder with a stick in your hand d long. As you sit on the fulcrum looking to the part of the market with no data, you don't seem to be able to figure out what makes things go up and down. Put your little stick away and play for a while. Lots of people can help you play once you start. Its okay you won't get hurt and, anyway, you can pick any bandaid you want to show us you were playing a little. Play nickel play. win nickel win . fall down nickel fall down. get up nickel nickel get up. Stop being a cry baby on the sidelines.
Most people as a matter of course go through the process of examining the relative merits of various methods and they usually look at several types of markets as well. A friend and I, for trining purposes (to past credentialling tests, etc.) have lumped the substantive content into 20 subcategories and a category on "test taking". So with these thoughts in mind, it is a good exercise to choose about a dozen and do a few things with them. For many many years I have done the following kinds of things. 1. rank them by profitability. 2. examine their characteristics to determine their overlap. 3. compose an improvement for each that would enable them to be as profitable as the next better rank. 4. eliminate a weakness of each to enable it to be as profitable as the next better rank. 5. consider where what I do fits into the ranked spectrum. 6. consider if their are any places in the spectrum that imply that there is a progression made possible by adding and deleting elements to move through the ranked spectrum. It is very noteworthy that the succession proceeds upward from fundamentals to technicals. It is very apparent that the amount of capital deployed is a very serious limiting factor. the stuff nickel is reveling in doesn't make any continuum that I can think of. It is also very clear where wizards fit in and where scalping fits in. Where anything that has a name fits in. With all these successful entities to choose from, how an it be possible that there is not an understanding that making money one way or another is simply a choice. There is no question of whether money can be made; it is simply up to the individual to join in and do it properly. This d thing, at best, is just a facet of something. Personnally I would never get so sidetracked from the main event to be in d land.
For me, it is not sound. It is trivial and all successful systems of any sort have features worth considering. These features usually do not have rollin/nickel bents. It is a diversion from considering making money day after day. It is a good thing for nickel to have the experience he is having. when he puts it away and behind him, he will be a tiny step further in his unfulfilled quest. As he states we are not talking about his needs. That will come up much later. For now the challenge is to get just a little further down the road from where you and he are stuck. Stuck is a bad place.
I'll take a look at it when I have time and get back to you later today. Meanwhile, the demonstration phase of the challenge awaits.
Perhaps you will explain how it would be possible to make a profit in trading without being able to establish, before any prospective entry, d in the following: What is a reliable method that can be applied to past price action to forecast a profitably large positive or negative number d such that (p1-p0)=>d, where p0 is the current market price and p1 will be a marketable price in the near future? And we'll take it from there.
For my part, acknowledge you understand what I presented to you and I will demonstrate your butt off .
You don't understand it when it is explained to you in English so how much explaination do you desire?
