that is a great quote. I do not know to whom it was directed but even if it was me I will sit in silence because I love the quote.

  2. Cicero was a profound pain in the ass. In fact he was such a complete pain in the ass that Emperor Octavian had him decapitated just get him to shut the fuck up (in about 43 BC if I remember correctly). It is appropriate therefore that you quote him, as you and he seem to share this endearing personality trait.

  3. Hmm, I thought I just posted a scatter plot showing one of my quantifiable edges? So, Nickel's response was that he doesn't play games of chance, and your response is, my edge doesn't exist? Whatevah.....

  4. You have to be 21 to play games of chance. I would guess Nickelscalper is 14 or maybe 15 years old. Actually an advantage if you think about it. Plenty of time to save up that allowance, learn to count cards, take self-defense classes, get a plastic mouthpiece, etc. :D

  7. Yes Mr. Rollins You're welcome. Most folks don't really know anything about the day to day life of the historical figures they quote. In fact, Cicero was a traitor to the Roman Empire, and plotted to remove Octavius and Anthony from power. Because he was such a backstabbing son of a bitch (and a royal pain in the ass), Emperor Octavius ordered Anthony to find him and kick his weasel ass. Historical record indicates that on December 7, 43 BC, Anthony's guards caught the little bastard running for his life just outside the city and cut his head off. Although he was thought to be a great orator, in actuality a good portion of his writings were plagiarized from contemporaries who had more natural talent. In other words, he was a poser.

    There I feel better already.

  9. 192 pages later, and the "delusion shattering" continues. That must have been quite a "delusion," eh? Makes you wonder about the motivation behind such heroic efforts on the part of our selfless purveyors of truth and all that is good. No doubt, all of the other "delusions" are scurrying for cover in the face of hank steamrollins et al. :D

  10. Yep, this thread is mostly a loser. But at least you got a little education out of the deal. If anyone ever asks, you can tell them that Cicero was a dickhead.
