  2. I build tents!

I construct them with money raised from those who feel they need to be safe from a (non-existent) trend. When the trend is around the corner, I take my tents off and leave (with the money of course!) to do the next trend thing.

The experts may know what I mean by tents (my positions look like tents). I sleep in the safe and large part of my tents. As for those who paid, let's say they choose to stay outside and pay for the privilege :)

  3. There are always trends.

Sometimes you just have to look at a smaller timeframe to find them.

Look at GBP/JPY 5minute chart and you will know what i mean :D

  4. That's a very cute way of saying you sell strads/strangles. Its nice to put up one wall of the tent at a time, isn't it?

Hard to believe some of the answers on this thread. If you are doing anything other than researching your ass off trying to find new methods, refinements, and other opportunities to apply your existing methods, then you are just storing up trouble. The competition is doing this, and if you don't then in the long run you are toast.

  7. You are smart and experienced! You got the idea that I meant selling option premium in those situations. And yes, build them side by side, one by one, wider, thinner, taller, etc. Even indian TPs (if the spelling right?)!

I find viewing trading like stories is an effective way to trade.
I have started one titled: "The King of Bs, His Holly Grail and His Royal Highnest You (thetrader)".

The King of Bs one ruled the world in a planet where nations acted like traders. Each nation was divided into 2 tribes. They Battled a lot, and were known as the Bs tribes. Each tribe did not know how to read, but did understand animal signs.

In the north of each nation lived a tribe that used the bear's as they animal sign. In the south was the other tribe, which used the image of bulls as their sign.

The king ruled both tribes, and multiple nations of these tribes. In each nation, you can never travel to the west, neither to the east. But the east travel to them. Every one can see the west, but only the king can see the east, and knew how to exploit it.

The king had two crowns (one marked with the sign of bull, the other by the sign of a bear). He owned multiple horses, one for each nation. One of his horses is named Gold.

The king knew how to be rich, when the tribes fight or are in peace. He was a great tent builder as well. And he ruled all nations, and moved from one nation to another to lead the right tribe or manage peace.

The king had a son. His name is You. He is from the royal family of the Traders.

The story tells how the king rule, and how he will teach his son the Royal Highness You to become a king one day.

Oh the name of the King is King I. You can view I as first, me, etc.

I will continue another time, depending on interest!

  9. I assume this means US index futures and underlying; not that there is global consolidation within all markets that prevents exploitation. I've never seen this to be all encompassing.

I don't trade everyday so when this occurs I'm studying other instruments and doing research. Not one to squander my time I multitask this process with my decades old quest to answer the question:

How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?

Admittedly, I am weak in this regard.

    I may never know.:(
