Oh no! Is this the final nail in the coffin of futurecurrents claim to man made global warming (AGW)?

In a direct broadside against global-warming doomsday alarmists, Esper noted:

This figure we calculated may not seem particularly significant. However, it is also not negligible when compared to global warming, which up to now has been less than 1°C. Our results suggest that the large-scale climate reconstruction shown by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) likely underestimate this long-term cooling trend over the past few millennia.

The Tree Ring study proves the recent warming trend we are experiencing is not exceptional, because temperatures have been exceeded for at least two periods over the last 2000 years. Paleoclimatologists describe the warming of the earth over the last 12,000 years as the Holocene inter-glacial of the current Ice Age. The prior Eemian interglacial period, which began 130,000 years ago and ended 114,000 years ago, was much warmer. Scandinavia was an island, hippos swam in the Thames at the site of London, and the raised beaches of Alaska & fossil reefs of the Bahamas were formed.

  3. Really? Is this all it takes for the denier nitwits to start jumping up and down? Wow.

I think I'll wait for a real scientist to comment on it or for it to be written up by a real science news service. Not a bullshit author on a bullshit website. The volume of crap science from the deniers is too much to keep up with. That's one of the tactics the denial machine uses.

In other news FC has called the worldwide respected Nature journal a bullshit website with bullshit articles written by bullshit authors.

Nature, first published on 4 November 1869,[1] is ranked the world's most cited interdisciplinary scientific journal by the Science Edition of the 2010 Journal Citation Reports.[2] Most scientific journals are now highly specialized, and Nature is among the few journals (the other weekly journals Science and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences are also prominent examples) that still publish original research articles across a wide range of scientific fields. There are many fields of scientific research in which important new advances and original research are published as either articles or letters in Nature.

Let's see what Nature has to say about Tree Ring data. The summary for the 'Orbital forcing of tree-ring data' article states that "relying on tree-ring data may underestimate pre-instrumental temperatures including warmth during Medieval and Roman times.".

Sorry any article demonstrating that the earth was warmer in the past is simply not acceptable to FC.... he will shrilly decry it and demean anyone associated with article or merely references it.

FC is the one in denial. He seems to be coming unglued. FC, do you even know that the Earth is round? What? Nobody told you, you say.

FC, RCG is sitting on a building ledge somewhere in Peoria, IL if you want to join him. The two of you could talk about who is going to jump first. :D

  6. Get back to me with comments on the study from a real climatologist, not a lying denier "specialist in corporate turnarounds" LOL.

You denier idiots will believe anything and anyone but the truth and the real experts.

    can you read..

you are making fun of the blogger who wrote about the study...
you should be reading the study and learning something.

  8. I read about it. It has little relevance other than to show summer temps in one place in Europe. You should learn to comprehend things and use logic and a rational thought process, instead of clutching at straws that support your delusions.

and you of course realize your agw nutter data also takes in tree ring data and data from other local proxies as well.

I want everyone here to stop picking on futurecurrents. The truth is so obvious! Any web or other media site that promotes the Chicken Little mantra of man-made climate change, sighting undisputable experts, producing charts, and predicting doom is to be taken as gospel, the truth and the only truth, and is to be accepted without question.

Any website or other media site that even questions man-made climate change, sighting experts no matter how accredited, charts and facts, no matter how compelling, is obviously false and made to mislead. The experts are hacks, the data is corrupted, the facts are skewed by those big bad capitalist. Therefore there's no reason to watch the videos, read any of the research papers. No reason to cloud one's mind with opposing views.

    It's the socialist way.
