This is so sad it's funny. Which I guess means if I feel that way I should submit a proposal.

Let me try out a few lines:

"So three guys walk into a bar; they're from Bear, Lehman, and Merrill...."
"Geithner and Bernanke sitting in a tree....f-u-n-d-i-n-g."
"Helicopter Ben had to return to base and reload - he ran out of hundreds to drop on the country...."
"The public debt is so big....(HOW BIG?)....its monthly statements are delivered by railcar."

    Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

    • Alleviate stress in home and the office
    • Know how and why humor is important to communication
    • Improve work-place relationships
    • Prevent burn-out

  2. Call them and act indignant. Demand that the Treasury Dept tell you the 'real' reason for humor in the workplace.

  3. Employees in the Bureau of the Public Debt analyze statistics about the public debt. They read and write forms about the public debt. They are losing productivity. There is just so much debt. They do not enjoy their lives.

  4. According to a Goldman Sachs spokesperson, a merger between Goldman and the Treasury Department is "a good fit" because "they're in the business of printing money and so are we."
