  1. "hombre" also 'means just like' the name of the guy who posted right before me. luckily i used his login handle specifically, otherwise some idiot may have thought i was speaking spanish to him. "hombre" if you're too big of a douche to look it up.

  5. Hmmm... My apology. I missed Hombre's post below my last post, and was confused by the possible generic meaning of "hombre".

  7. Ok after countless hours of research here are my findings for people that want a traveling trading setup. If you don't want to travel and trade you should probably stop reading.

I ended up settling on 1920x1080 as there aren't many options with 1920x1200 even though that was original plan.... screw those extra 120 pixels.

I decided to go with a laptop in case I didn't feel like lugging extra montior. The best ones I found were.

    Acer 8943g
    HP Envy 17

Both with 1920x1080 that can also output 1920x1080 surprising some could display it but not output it.

I went with the Acer because it was cheaper and could get it faster. HP I'd have to wait 2 weeks for them to build it and pay retarded 11% chicago sales tax. No tax on acer from new egg and upgraded to 8gb Ram. They both run i7 720m intel chips. Best out there for what I needed.

The one nice thing about the HP Envy 17 is that it can run 3 monitors. I won't go into all the tech stuff but its because it has a displayport which is needed by Eyefinity. So you can do 2 externals and the laptop monitor at the same time. Acer can only do 2 externals or 1 external and laptop monitor. 2 weeks lag time and 400$ more I went with acer.

    Monitors:
Surprisingly the original pack them and stuff pillows around them is probably the best method out there. I mean monitors are less than 200$ these days so not a huge deal if you break one. I looked into even buying Pelican cases but the cases start out weighing almost 40lbs so would definitely be over weight limit which I know airlines are very anal about.

I went with Acer S211hl because that was the smallest 1920x1080 display I could find and it got good reviews. The viewsonic is popular and usually can be found at home depot for the same price. http://www.amazon.com/Acer-S211HL-2...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1286400098&sr=1-1

I would have paid 5-600 bucks for an 18.4 inch monitor to match my laptop but for some reason they don't make 1920x1080 monitors under 21inchs. Or at least I couldn't find them.

I also bought this laptop bag that I'm hoping I can cram this monitor into. Miltigiant http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M4RDNG/ref=oss_product

If not will just use it for the laptop. Hoping I can carry that on as personal laptop bag plus regular carry on.

So thats the setup best I could figure out. I talked to tech support for Dell, Gateway, Hp etc. HP said they didn't have a laptop that could output 1920x1080 luckily I found article on internet. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears or if you need help or reasons. Let me know Hopefully this was helpful to someone.

Acer 8943g(8gig upgrade) or HP Envy 17 18.4 inch laptop with 1920x1080
    Acer s211hl or Viewsonic 21in LED 1920x1080
Miltigiant 20 laptop bag to hopefully cram all this s into.

    Roughly 1400+200+50 Total cost.
Will probably buy a SSD soon to use as primary HD and switch 500gb (5400rpm) to second drive bay.

    Good luck.

If anyone finds a 1920x1080 monitor smaller than 21in let me know. Thanks.
