The TMX Group owns and operates two exchanges, the TSX is the market for senior issuers. The TSX-V is the market for more junior issuers that have not yet met the requirements for listing on the TSX. A third exchange in Canada, the Canadian Securities Exchange (“CSE”), is operated by CNSX Markets Inc.
Hat off to you for hanging in there for 8 years. You have demonstrated to us, but more important to yourself that you have the passion and persistence to succeed. I look forward to your future success.
It takes guts to make a post like this. Yours is a cautionary tale for all traders. One is only as successful as one's next trade. Flat years and even losing years are always out there, taking big risks eventually comes home to roost. Take money off the table (as in, out of the markets entirely) whenever you can.
Well its almost 10 years since since I started this thread, My edge is 80% gone, I've been able to run a similar strategy on the ASX but i still face the same liquidity issues. Trading now only takes a small part of my day unlike before. I have a great sales job that I work on my time. Failure to innovate is what brought me here, ...Not sure how I feel about the whole journey, I feel like trading was too hard for the payout i got Top sales guys at my work are making 500k-750k with alot less headaches than I had. Im still trying every day See you in a couple of years boys!
Welcome back. IMHO, you are now in the right place for retails: Day job put food on the table, trading to add, compound nest egg returns and more important hone your skills. One day you will realize you no longer need the day job, quit and go full time. Now you can easily sustain during a DD whereas prior you did not have the cushion to compound and to survive a DD. Take care. Another point, the market is dynamic, we have to adjust.
