    Welcome to the real world! lol
    Yeah get scratched up on corrolations and what speed certain markets work, how the broadrer markets work on economic data, shock events etc. Broad sentiment risk on v risk off. This is just the tip.

    Another good question + you proved his wisdom by asking that question.............................................................
    Same reason i went from ES to SSO, SPXL,qqq tqqq qld.....................................
    PUT another way; we ran rabbits + shot them in season, quite a blast in every way=small game .
    BUT we always knew when the dogs got on a hot big game deer tracks , much longer + larger circle + lost a lot of dogs that way............................................................
    LOL all of them[leveraged] are thin + not very ....friendly when you get a super loss.
    BUT IBKR..... has a practical idea with auto liquidation, much faster than an auto repo.:D:D

    LOL:D:DBetter on investments than trading.
    But that QQQ investment 40%, good\ but did not include\ slippage\bid ask\exchange fees.
    So good thing about occasional trades\
    QQQ cash down nicely about from that\ 8-15-2023
    So have too look @ all time highs+ lows, same with SPY + related .
    QQQ cash investment went down >80%\ bear of 2000-2001-2002.
    I seldom cherry pick, but do like a commercial orchard.
    A lot of investors sell @ 50dma\ can get back in if wanted

    Can't speak on NQ - looked at it long enough to know I didn't like the volatility - so what I say is in reference to ES and its little brother

    Switched over from stocks - haven't regretted a moment of doing so

    Micro

    I would start here - issues

    5 bucks a point - between slippage and commissions.., if one can be consistently profitable.., ES gonna be much better

    Micro and ES move very similarly - but not exactly

    ===================

    ES

    Take note of london open.., H/L..., to US open = those levels come into play more than is coincidence..., also previous day's H/L

    I will not say it predictable (I'm not that stupid).., but it is very readable..., and very prone to same "types" of behavior over and over

    When it gets a head of steam - get on board..., or get the hell out of the way

    successful trading

    LOL I 've got scratched up + bloody on v + V, 'cause going from left to right on that v lost money with bid \ask even with liquid stuff.:D:D
    So yes , from stocks to ES + then to ETFs;
    Big gain can just as easy be a big loss.
    But I dont have a problem with big trends;
    I 've seen to many ways of forced sellin' with ES, not saying that's a problem with you, just saying.
    I dont do DOW derivatives much, but that trader that did a alot of 'em intraday+ public profit said ''DOW is correlated to itself'' Excellant quote. Some asked him ''dont you ever look @ oil.??''
    NO he said, DOW is corrolated to itself'':caution::caution:

    NOT really gambling\
    thats what we did in the pool hall.:D:D
    NOT enough leverage?? Too much leverage when it whipsaws.
    As far as excitement, target shooting, hunting has more thrills + more meat, addicting ;
    but more risk to your life. Blow ups in massive leverage only blow up accounts.
    Water is addictive also, but good for you :caution::caution:
