I need to transfer my long list of favorites and my address books over to my new computer. Thye are not networked but I can email from one to the other. I know xp has a method of doing this but they have to be connected somehow and I don't see how I can do that. Is there an easy way to attach these files to an email and transfer them that way? Obviously, I am not an expert at this stuff.
Do you have a CD-RW or Zip drive on both machines? If so, just copy the "Favorites" folder (Windows Explorer) to the CD-RW, then copy the folder from the CD-RW onto the new machine.
Just Export the two items onto your desktop, then email them to yourself. You will find the import/export functions in the File menu in outlook and IE.
