I hope it's not in there, but for me, personally, give the choice between taxing the 70k of health care benefits accrued this year from my family, and having a nationalized heatlh care system that gives access for everybody for a price, it wasn't much of a choice. It was kind of the lesser of two evils.
all national health care does is take all the good doctors that are here now and outsource them to where the money is gonna be. same goes for this tax push the money away from this country. very said state of affairs the way this country is going. i think i can see myself moving to costa rica or mexico and trading from there.
Where would the doctors move? I think doctors are paid more in the US than anywhere in the world. Your logic is flawed. I have experience with the french health care system, they not only have close to free health care, but the treatment is much better there. If you have a small issue, they don't hesitate to do every diagnostic available, whereas here, they only do the cheapest diagnostics first.
The problem is a lot bigger than just a transaction tax. When your elected politicians ignore an overwhelming resistance to a major piece of legislation such as TARP, it's beyond just pleading to them with letters & phone calls. The message is clear, they have long sold out. You're gonna have to hit the core of the problem.
Are you joking? Does the truth hurt that much? Is that the best you can do? Never lost money, chump. Even though I do not agree with this tax at all, it is funny that guys like you kinda deserve it. After all, the people get the government they deserve.
If this were a democracy, I would encourage everyone to write against it. I suppose there's no harm in doing so, but doing so is more of an ego massage so when it passes, you can pretend you tried. Since we're all slaves... what can we really do?
