Late 1990s and early 2000s was the heyday for Trance for sure. I stopped listening to music from 1993-1998 since I stopped DJing and got a job in IT.

I still remember great artists like Underworld, Orbital, Hybrid, Faithless, Three Drives On a Vinyl, Energy 52, etc. And the great early DJs like Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, etc.

There was a lot of good vocal trance back then as well. Usually I don't like vocal trance since it just dilutes the quality of music but there were a lot of good songs. Delirium's Silence was very good. Armand Van Helden's remix of Tori Amos' Professional Widow is probably one of the best vocal trance songs.

It really was the best of times. Especially Tiesto and Oakenfold. Memorable, to say the least.

Not exactly vocal trance, but I loved these tracks by Sash.
