Late 1990s and early 2000s was the heyday for Trance for sure. I stopped listening to music from 1993-1998 since I stopped DJing and got a job in IT. I still remember great artists like Underworld, Orbital, Hybrid, Faithless, Three Drives On a Vinyl, Energy 52, etc. And the great early DJs like Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, etc. There was a lot of good vocal trance back then as well. Usually I don't like vocal trance since it just dilutes the quality of music but there were a lot of good songs. Delirium's Silence was very good. Armand Van Helden's remix of Tori Amos' Professional Widow is probably one of the best vocal trance songs.
