Reminds me a little many years ago when my kids were very young, I had an LP on large steam locomotives hauling, the noise of the pistons, steam, whistles, the roar coming down the line and then away, man we loved that LP. Dunno what happened to it, prolly Ex got it when she pulled pin on me.
If you listen to Trans-Europa Express by Kraftwerk it does a good job of simulating the diesel trains in mid 1970s Germany. It is actually 3 consecutive songs on their 1977 Trans-Europa Express LP: Trans-Europa Express Abzug Metall auf Metall Their 1983 12" EP Tour de France sounds a lot like bicycle racing. Interesting use of bass guitar.
Sometimes music beat reminds me of a factory or machinery assembly line, stuff whirring and clanking along. It's fantastic human imagination and its playful thoughts. I wonder sometimes if musicians get inspiration from work.
My forays into trance or club music was mostly in the late 90s and the 2000s (yeah, in my vibrant youth ). To me, this was the golden age of Trance. Trance these days don't sound as good as it used to. Or maybe I'm just too damn old. Lol I mean, check out this following track. This is a pure delight to listen to, even to this day, 25 years after its release.
