  2. It has already been well established that married men outlive bachelors. Older men tend to be isodated and have more health problems.

On the other hand, they found older men with living sisters also live longer, for a similar reason.

So what it is basically telling you is, if you are not married, it makes sense to establish strong bonds with female relatives, whether sisters, daughters, nieces, etc. They will help make your older years more fulfilling/healthier. Of course, it does not hurt to also strengthen your bond with your male relatives - nephews, sons, brothers...

  3. I agree. I've never been married but I have a significant other (my girlfriend) to provide some support and inspiration for me especially those times (most of the time) I lose in trading.

I agree with Arnie, but it is hard to find a good wife, the odds favor one getting stuck with someone who hurts their career

My wife used to act as a great form of risk control. Any amount I lost in a month, she could pull the same out of savings and spend in any outrageous way she wanted.

But now that I'm making money... it seems to be any amount I make, she can pull out of savings and spend in any outrageous way she wanted!

  8. Very true. These types are miserable and unhappy, and will just hold you back, and will try to unload some of their misery and unhappiness on you. After all, it is a man's world.........so act like it and kick them to the curb. Then settle for no less than a supportive partner.
