Fully agree on the big picture. IB wont solve that. But at least things with IB go in the right direction.

Not sure if you know this already, but you can sign into IB via Tradingview.

  3. Pinescript cannot be used in the TradingView charts inside TWS. That is not good for traders who have their own proprietary stuff.

10-15 bucks a month for full fledged tv. If you can't afford that then you are in the wrong industry.

  5. This thread is about using TradingView inside TWS, not using TradingView separately.

I don't think I count as rich but I can still afford TradingView :)

I already clearly mentioned in an above post that tv integration in TWS does NOT come with Pinescript. It's a tws chart replacement and nothing else. Ib is a broker not a data provider or backrest engine.

I removed my first comment in the post before you replied. Apologies for calling your post stupid.

But it's frustrating to always hear people bitch about IB when they at the same time choose to use IB day in day out. I opened the thread, I described clearly what IB is offering and how it is improving the quality of its charting features. Yet all the trolls come out of the woods complaining how this is not there and that is not there and how this is not working and that is not working. The TV Charts are in beta inside TWS, the product is not yet in production. Issues are to be expected, the direction is what counts.

  8. Ok. I guess I'm asking too much to have Pinescript integrated into IBKR. It'll be good if I can use my customized pinescripts on TWS and use it on IBKR to key in the orders. Having a subscription to TradingView cannot be avoided in this case.

Thanks for starting this thread and bringing this feature to my attention.

If Pinescript matters to you so much then you can do what another user suggested, use the full tv platform and execute within TV with IB broker integration. Problem solved.

  10. I have deleted my other reply so that this thread that you started won't be derailed. I like this new feature very much.

I like both IBKR and TradingView. If not, I won't be using both actively. I'm not a troll but it's unavoidable to get greedy as a customer sometimes :)

I think it's ok to be a demanding customer as long as the requests are not unreasonable. Businesses improve when they listen to the feedback of demanding customers. If the requests are unreasonable, I believe most customers will understand if customer service explains in an objective and non-personal manner why certain things can't be done.
