There should be a time for quotes to be valid and not cancelled.. like 500 ms, bu tthe exchange doesn't want that because it would hurt the members profits. They need us noise traders, but they do not need us that badly becasue they know we will lose in the end just liek the casino. NO chacne of "us" rising up to being a billonaire day trader.. it isn't set up that way anymore. it is the club of the elites. Probably better to buy and sell stocks.. you can do smaller quantities with less risk and hold overnight if you want to which means you can sit on a trade until it works out in your favor.

lastly. the lag in your moving averages is your TIME FRAME. reduce time frame to 1 second, 5 seconds, 20 seconds and you start to see clearly the make up of your 1 mintue bar.. there is a wealth of information in there.

the only paper involved with this trade was cash money! rinse and repeat. find something that works for you even once a day and exploit that one thing. if a trade can make you 50 bucks and it is consistent.. then 10 lot is 500 etc up too 100 of course some slippage but you can make some serious $$.

Are you here to play games? Why would I move my limit order if the reason I sent out the limit order is to be filled at that price? I don't know why you are spreading this "they are out to get you" nonsense. It's like saying, don't go fishing 'cause they'll get all your worms!

Hm, that sounds like a sound strategy to me : Buy when "they" buy.

If you have traded futures then you must realize that there are not as many individual participants or as many products as ther are stocks and numerous financial entities use futures for multiple reasons.. heding, speculating to name just a few, spreading basis trading..blah blah blah.. however.. lot so liquidit is LARGE players in small groups who work in packs to eat your lunch. Games.. no way.. but if you are an active trader then you would understand why moving your limit price and buying at htte mkt or using a stop or mit to enter is the best for success.

I don't have much experience with Futures, but CME's mkt order is really a marketable limit order (mkt with protection). The order doesn't get cancelled back to you, but goes on the book instead. So you send mkt buy order and two things may happen ... 1) the market runs away from you and leaves you behind a nice move :( 2) the market runs away from you but it was a temporary spike, now your order is seating nicely there for people who need to get out to profit from that spike :(

Futures market is for the members by the members. If you don't like it, don't play. Again, I am not as familiar with Futures and the examples above may be very rare and thus not an issue most of the time.
