One trader focusses on the ES and bonds and the other on ER2.

YOU CANNOT TRADE AS A WINNER WITH MSRKET PROFILE
USING LETTERS AN NUMBERS JUST WIL NOT CUT IT BUT VIEWING IT ALONG WITH STANDARD CHARTS WITH SWING PIVOTS IS THE KEY

Do you profitably trade with MP and pivots?

Hi They, I am very happy to see your post, I was worried that after reading all your posts that you were gone.
I have been very fascinated with MP for a while but never really understood how to interpret it , but after looking at all your posts and charts I really am starting to get it.
They, I trade fx and it is hard to find charts that have MP. I have one of those excel spreadsheets you posted and want to reproduce one with the currencies I trade. So if I take the range ever 30 min. on a 30 min chart and start with the letter< a> then 2nd hr ,...... at the end of the week will it start to look like something?

Thanks They, your the business,
Emile

8. I use Market Profile in a slightly different way than most traders do. I mainly use it to find out where most people are net long or short from and when I see they are wrong I get in on very low risk trades in the opposite direction. It happens nearly ever day. I use software that analyzes every trade and shows me whether traders are net long or short using bid/ask analysis. I also watch the 100+ lot traders and see what side they are trading on. Usually the biggest traders move the market in the direction they want it to but occassionally are wrong and its good for a point or two when there stops get hit. Using volume based market profile charts lets me see where everybody entered their positions and I can often go in the opposite direction a tick or two down from where they entered. Read my Market Profile Trading Journal to see how I do this.

9. So you are trying to sell your software? Ah no end to this kind of thing is there?

10. Sure I want to sell our software. And most traders who try it become customers. We have tools you can't find elsewhere. Where else can you watch 100+ lot traders and see if they are long or short or scan the entire market and have the stock results automatically show up on your charts. I thought the whole purpose of these boards was to discuss trading and trading styles. My style and tools are unique and I have not seen anybody on here discuss things such as bid/ask analysis, using statistical average range and volume analysis, watching large traders for clues to which direction the market/stock is most likely to go. Nobody else here seems to ever discuss using each stocks's implied volatility to predict maximum highs/lows for the next day.

Many traders asked for specifics about how people use market profile charts and I was sharing how I use them. Besides we are advertisers here under software.
