I found out today how professional the TradingView team is. Needless to say I won't be posting analysis from TV anymore. I'm not sure what the best alternative is, maybe ToS charts?
Wow, you put my humble little journal here to shame. I'm slinging a 50k trading account and you made 100x my entire account in a week. Nice!
Alright folks, I posted a bunch of analysis over the weekend. I think 8 different setups to be exact. All have pretty well played out, except 2: SPY and XLE short. They haven't become losers but also haven't really gone anywhere yet. So who here was hoping my analysis would be wrong so you could rub it in? Come on, I know how some of the people here are. Who here was surprised at how well they have played out? Who here was convinced enough to take a trade off of it? It's a ghost town in my journal so trying to get a conversation or two going. It's getting lonely here...
/CL has a nice, massive pin bar on the daily. It looks like a good chance oil takes off tomorrow/early next week.
Since I have thrown TradingView to the curb, I think I may try to just share my ToS charts. It lacks the nifty analysis and video features but it gets the job done. Here is the pinbar I am setting in /CL. This is basically my thought process here. HH/HL Sideways Consolidation Price bumps into the short term bullish trend line, breaks through it but pulls right back up. BOOM, you have a pin bar. Lots of shorts holding onto losing positions, should be good fuel for the next leg higher. That's it. We have the overall trend bias, the fakeout at the short term trend line after sideways consolidation. Pretty much a bread and butter setup. Too bad /CL is too large a product for my account to trade it. Maybe gentleman's bet instead. Testing out the ToS chart sharing feature Crude Oil - (Bullish) Pin Bar
Seriously though, im pretty much a 1 trick pony when it comes to trading. I have been trading a certain setup type for years. If I tried to trade any other way, I know it wouldn't end well. Sometimes I have to wait weeks to see one, but that's alright. It usually feast or famine.
Thought of the day - life would be so much easier if I had 100k and could trade more of these futures markets.
