Trading with IB's Ideal. (not ideal pro!)

    IDEAL allow exchange of one currency with another thru IB right? I know there are horrific spreads, but what are the spreads like? :eek:

    The spreads are typically much better than you'd get if you went through your bank.

    AUD: 1.3151-1.3167
    CAD: 1.2188-1.2200
    CHF: 1.2949-1.2961
    EUR: 0.8283-0.8290
    GBP: 0.5754-0.5757
    HKD: 7.7685-7.7794
    JPY: 111.89-111.98

    Wonder if your GBP/USD IDEAL quote is a typo. 3 pips is the typical IDEALPro cable spread. It's 10 pips on IDEAL right now (13:27 EDT), 1.7453-63 up to 150,000.

    I just snapped the quotes - didn't really look at them carefully. Someone must have been bidding/offering inside the normal spread.
