al trader, looking through your posts, you are quite the trading intellectual:

Looks like you are well-qualified to pass judgement on others.

  3. Are you having a hard time answering the question? This is a simple question? Am I making you nervous?

Care to explain why over 70% (by conservative evaluations) of all new businesses fail? Why only a meagre % of all athletes, musicians etc. become rich and famous? Is it because all those activities are a matter of random luck?

Extremely high failure rate is the essential part of any scalable profession. Trading is a very scalable profession. Making a living by trading is like making a living by boxing against Klitschko. What would be success rate among newbies trying to do that?

BTW, I think failure rate is higher than 95% among forex and derivatives traders. :)

    Exactly!

Many seriously underestimate how difficult this profession is and that high failure rate is not the fault of the market (of course it is much easier to think that you fail because of the market :D ), but the consequence of lack of skills needed for a successful trader, such as excellent analytical work which provides you a good edge, discipline and self control of steel et cetera.

  6. perhaps we are not communicating on the same level.

if you still are not able to figure out whether the trader is successful or not.... i am most definitely certain that you won't know it either, if i were to spell it out for you.

if the crashes of the 87 and in the 90 and several minors in between did not make me nervous.... how would your question unnerve someone who has been thru all those hard times?

after having read thru the trader's response, anyone who is trading in the market at the moment, would be able to figure out the answer already without having to be spooned fed the answer.

on the other hand, if those big name games (see attached) whose initials are commonly known as TF, GC and Cl.... which if any appears somewhat vague to you.... then, i need to apologize to you for referring to something that are in your future yet....

good luck to you, al trader, and wishing you profitable trading at the same time.

More than 80% of small traders believe they can get rich quick with a starting capital $3000. u will find them with a lot in the world of ET. In fact, there are a lot of them in this very thread
