  4. Ok but we proved it works and it works better...that Dr. is spreading propaganda, why? losing 15.6lbs on atkins in 12 months vs 9.9 is almost 6lbs,,,,that is a big deal....yet they still WARN about potential hazards, yet they can only speculate that it may harm you ...no scientific proof or experiment that it hurts you ...but they do admit that you lose more weight AND lowe cholesterol......FPC....your overweight aren't you???? I've noticed that the people who attack Atkins the most are fat people when have tried every diet but can;t lose weight.....but Atkins offers them the one thing they dreamed of which is NO HUNGER....but they just cannot lay off the rice and beans and bread ...so in depression they Attack this plan....previously, they blamed hormones, stress, genetics, ...atkins takes away the last bastian of hope and excuses and puts the blame squarely on the individual if he cannot lose weight....tell the truth, are you overweight?

Look at it this way FPC,
we all are going to die. Wouldn't it be a shame to die of nothing?

We all know anyone who posts in this thread has a "weight problem"......why else would they be interested TM?

  6. no, this proves nothing. one little study throws you a bone in short term and your willing to chuck all nutritional science out the window? you have a problem with critical thinking. at least part of your problem is you allow misconceptions to easily enter your brain and become reality for you. you got a lot squirrels running amuck up there bub.

i recommend a strong healthy dose of THIS...

  8. You are totally clueless....listen to yourself.....IM THE ONE WHO IS SKEPTICAL.....YOU are accepting the 'scientific word' as gospel and since they have been pushing a pyramid for 30 years, you are afraid to think outside the lines....you even said on an earlier post that the pyramid needs to be refined....so it means I am right in not just accepting the nutrition pyramid that they forced down our throats....YOU need to become skeptical of what the government and the AMA is brainwashing you with.

FPC... Mercury was long the agent used in vaccines to give them a shelf life. Mercury is a poison, for crying out loud. But we weighed the benefits of getting polio versus trace amounts of Mercury. (What we haven't studied much is the build up of toxins in our bodies.)

Fluoride, is also poisonous... but many cities fluoridate their water supply with trace amounts for the affect it has on improving oral health. As I said earlier, the fluoridation policies were created at an earlier time. We now have better overall nutrition and better overall access to health care. In some circles, there's a call for removing fluoride from city water.

  10. Can we keep this thread on ATKINS??

FPC's points are well taken and the debate will continue to rage on im sure, but for those fools who believe in the Atkins approach this could be a good forum to exchange ideas and info. We aren;t getting anywhere arguing this so let's just say all these people who lost weight with atkins only lost it because of water wight and placebo effect ok??? now can we just get back to the atkins plan.
