Trading while trying to lose weight on Atkins

    Andre,
    I find that the Atkins diet gives me a lot of energy and carbs make me miserable and tired. And any carbs ruin it.

    I like the breakfast bars Atkins makes...they are crunchy and remind me of granola bars...Apple crunch is my favorite. Those are available online and at stores that carry the full line of products.

    There is a really good low carbohydrate cook book that I use. The Low-Carb Cookbook by Fran McCullough.....it is $8.00 in paperback. She is a better chef than the official Atkin's cookbook. I use it all the time.

  2. I've never liked beer, it just doesn't agree with my system. I do enjoy a little egg-nog around the holidays though.

    Before you indulge too much in the Ultra's , please remember that is nothing more then a marketing coup...Compare a coors light can to ultra and it's not that big of a difference...also, its' the ALCOHOL not the carbs that you need to worry about....The alcohol interferes with the ketosis process....Having one or two at night should be ok but end it there....if you really feel like busting loose and you can;t resists, drink Scotch on the Rocks. No sugar in it and it burns clean in your system...most diabetics drink scotch

  9. UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I lost a total of 20 lbs in about 4 weeks.

    my method: Low carb, high protein and water/diet coke

    2 slices of meat (fat free turkey breast or ham avail at walmart),
    1 slice of bread (get the thin slice), pickle and lettuce. NO MAYO

    I eat about 10 sandwiches(110 cal per) for a total of 1100 cal a day.

    Believe it or not i dont feel hungry except for the first few days.

  10. I say lets do a NO CARB diet and really lose weight!! I mean carbs are bad .. right?? Absolutely! We all agree on that (and we're in good company with the late doc atkins on our very lean to be side:) Let's do 1 better.. BAN ALL CARBS!


    No carbs allowed. 0! Zilth! Nada! Nein! None!

    We are soon to be lean mean machines with tons & tons of N R G!

    This is great stuff!
