I think OP has a valid question. The issue is not 'what people bad'. The issue is sudden termination of access due to geopolitical tensions. I've been playing with NinjaTrader and MultiCharts. Last night I put my PC to sleep but when I woke up it was still alive because MultiCharts was constantly trying to 'validate' my license during the night (I have a paid license). My reaction was, "Why does the company need to constantly ping me to 'validate' my license over and over after I sign in?" My next question was, where in the world is this validation taking place? Where is the computer located that my program is trying to talk to? What happens if that computer goes down? So I looked up who owns MC and found that it is essentially Russian. Naturally with Apple removing MT from the app store I found the possibility of termination of access a valid question which is when I when I found this thread.
