I ran countless back tests on various MS cross overs, non could consistently make money.

  3. Not sure many of us feel all that "lucky".

Yes, when you get a handle on it all you can make easy money... perhaps lots.

Hopeful as they/we are, doubt many are to that point... at least not yet.

If you want to seriously reach financial freedom,
seriously remove all indicators including moving averages and focus on price action, chart pattern, & understand what are the main main events / drivers.

main drivers are basically interest related things like bonds and gold, index futures (and perhaps oil.

  5. Mostly true, but I wouldn't give up on indicators. (If I weren't so lazy, I'd run a year long test based upon "indicators alone" and report it here... but then again, I'm lazy :))

Most don't understand how they work, but they do when used properly.

    MA is only a distraction..

extended? - come on, naked eyes naked chart, easy to see....

does it matter? no, tops are decided by my pro boys in a secret meeting... of course there is also some rhythm, such as earning season sell on the news.

and what does 'extended' really mean? graphically extended on the chart means nothing... buying power extended by the dumb money is the real reason my pro boys decide to knock it down, hence AAII sentiment, google trend sentiment, vix... these are true indications of extendedness.
