Hi, Most spot forex traders trying to trade the news are embarrased with large spreads or manipulated quotes just before and during the news. Can someone write about his experience of trading news using futures instead of spot forex (including but not limited to US index andlarge or mini futures contracts for Us/Eur or U/GBP) Thanks
Of course you need to be careful around news releases, but at least with an ecn modeled market you will have other traders' orders to hit and not just some artificially widened quote. Still, with the thinner markets (gbp, cad, aud) you will often see bids and offers pulled on news releases, resulting in some nasty stop-fills if you're not wary.
