Trading the Pivots

Discussion in 'Journals' started by JimmyJam, Aug 13, 2006.

  1. I posted a trade, which clearly shows price action being supported at S1, with a seconday support coming in using the PSAR, as well as the indices and internals showing that the selling had abated and the bankers holding their ground (that obviously wouldn't be reflected in the chart though - did you know that?).

Yeah moron, other traders most definitely will draw their own conclusions about me and skillz. :p

BTW, you're coming here and doing the bashing, not the other way around (and this guy has a thread where's showing off all of his skillz to the ET Community - Bawahahahaha).

Enough of me and my trades, you have familly matters to attend to ...

  2. Your mother is dying and you're wasting your time talking shit on ET?

I have no opinion of you.

Bashing where bashing is due. You posted a stop, there was no mention of S1 or PSAR regarding that trade, A STOP WAS MENTIONED THOUGH! You are the one putting your skills on display here, I am simply trying to defend my case.

  5. ... all is not lost folks, here's an exact explanation of the money management technique that I used ... I wouldn't recommend you using it unless you really know what you're doing though ... and unfortuntely, romik has more arguement than intellect and logic in him, so he'd rather fight about it than try to understand it.

now see, you've actually learned something from this (I do hope so).

Your money management? What about your risk management by ignoring your stop of 733.60? If I was trading your call, I would have been stopped out, but JJ proclaims victory by bringing in S1, which was actually below his stop of 733.60 and PSAR. In that case, why did you not mention that you will have a stop at S1 then?

That's all right folks, here is my reply to JJ here:

I've recalculated your PnL using simple calculation of your posted entries and stops.

    1ER -1 (-2ES)
    3ER -1*3=-3 (-6ES)
    1ER -1 (-2ES)
    3ER -0.4*3=-1.2 (-2.4ES)
    3ER -1*3=-3 (-6ES)
    3ER +4.4*3=+13.2 (+26.4ES)

PnL: +4ER (+8ES) Looks different from your calculation I believe.

Very good, but here is the same PnL taking into consideration THE 733.60 stop, which was not taken.

    1ER -1 (-2ES)
    3ER -1*3=-3 (-6ES)
    1ER -1 (-2ES)
    3ER -0.4*3=-1.2 (-2.4ES)
    3ER -1*3=-3 (-6ES)
    3ER -1*3=-3 (-6ES)

    PnL: -12.2ER (-24.4ES)

And your errors in maths prove that you are just paper trading, as the actual gain on your last short is 4.4pts ER, not 5.4, but you post your PnL wrong twice.

    1. by claiming +5.4 point gain in ER, when it should be +4.4;

    2. by posting your gain of $1,620, when it should have been 1,320, if you were looking at your platform's PnL;

JJ, I told you before, after years of running a business, I can smell bullshit pretty well, now you are just trying too hard to find excuses. Face the facts!

  9. S1 - 1351
    PP - 1347
    S1 - 1343

Got a buy off the median pivot right now.

    Take a look.

  10. R1 - 1349
    PP - 1347
    S1 - 1343

Price action is sitting right above the S1 line.

So long as it is below the Pivot Point, but above Support that can be considered bullish and buys can be initiated.

If it breaks S1 you should only look to sell pullbacks (untill price action crosses back-over S1).
