oh ZN you are soooo disappointing! let's see if I can make it up with qm short @ 61.625, stop @ 62.000 can't catch a break today , nah, it's just the normal chop after trend. later, jj
JJ, Don't want to sound critical or anything but lately it seems that you are all over the map with your trading. Have you thought about pulling back and just try to cherry pick a couple of high probability trades a day? Gary
hey gary, how you hang'in i heard the good news CONGRATULATIONS! !!! Man now that's what I call FREEDOM. *** The way I see it, different types of markets require different types of trading, now, yesterday, we had a huge range day, and today, we're going to have a much narrower type of trading back-and-forth action. These types of days are obviously harder to game than the straight, trending type of days, my entries are good enough, but my position sizing is wrong for trading this way (and the ER contract is much richer than the ES). Idealy, you should be scaling in when trying to catch TOPS and BOTTOMS, and using a type of averaging to minimize potential losses. I haven't quite figured out the math for that one yet (maybe Austin P will drop some more free knowledge, and I'll have it covered). That's a good observation though, and accurate. I'm mixing and matching different styles to see if chaning-up my game plan is worth it for the non-trending days. So far, the answer is, nah, but like I said, I like to experiement. If this is indeed the bottom for the financial indices, and the ER develops a range of greater than 0.5%, I'm good. Best, James
LOL, Only if you consider freedom being married to the company. I had finally gotten it to where I could sort of be hands off and now I will be jumping in with both feet again. But that is alright it is what I started my company for anyway. I was just checking on you, don't want to see you get out of hand or anything. Carry on... Gary
QM Short at breakeven, I wanna see some dough on this one, so it's gonna be MOC. ER performing as anticipated, holding this one to MOC too. JJ out (and yes, I DO know I'm trading more like krazkarl than my usual style, no worries )
while my shorts in qm are coming in in a spectacular fashion, these longs in the ER are dogging me close qm at 60.80 close er at 733.7 edit: here's the stats, and with all of that insane buying going on i'd love to be back in the er, but I think I'll call it a day, I'm deducting $100 bucks in commisons (uh, at least). No losses, and the sclaping experiment shows me why successful scalpers are in short supply. Oh, BTW, that ER play is going to come in as expected ...
here's the finals (9 pts), see you tomorrow. jj p.s. maybe i should stop experimenting on this forum , later gents, its all good
