Ok. You clipped chart haphazardly - same as far as determining trend. You are also on a different timeframe than most here which complicates things further. GL and C ya.
Aloha kabash, What are you using to draw your zig zig lines, and does it repaint them as time progresses? Pleases remember friend, I'm giving you questions to help make your system more robust
Hello. I have been trading this system for the third year. The first year I drew everything by hand and it got boring. I found a programmer, he created an indicator for me and added several filters that I need. The indicator does not repaint.
Those lines look to be drawn simply from bottoms to peaks. You'd have to wait a month or so to be able to draw them, to know that the trend has finished. Whereas a trendline, drawn under the the whole trend, with a minimum of 3 contact points, gives at least some sort of forward guidance of where a trend may go.
Yes, the lines are drawn on the tops with certain rules. There are three lines: short-term, medium-term and long-term. Short-term lines are drawn on the tops of the bars, medium-term lines are drawn on the tops of short-term lines, and long-term lines on the tops of medium-term lines. And you don't need to draw for a month, take the lowest or highest point and start drawing from there.
Aloha kabash, It is good to hear you've had a track record of success with your method. Clearly, there's something I'm missing about the logic. More questions: In the attached chart, how did you filter out these trades, or do they not fit your criteria? What is your exit criteria? Thank you again for sharing with us. I'm sure there something for me to learn here. Also, would it be possible to more clearly mark your entry and exit prices? I'm not sure of the price where the arrows are and to me it looks like the trade posted was a loss? Mahalo!
