  4. So many cynics on this board...

Try looking through this list, you may find something worth considering.

I think everyone agrees that you need keyboard time to learn how to trade the market profitably. The $1000 (or more) question is whether paying for training will shorten your learning curve.

  7. SFO Magazine's December 2003 (Volume 2, No. 12 had a good review of various schools and mentors. The article is "Trading Schools: Not the Pot at the end of the Rainbow - But They Can Help Fine-Tune Your Trading".

Recommend reading the article first. You can get the back issue or the article:

  9. Develped "The Roadmap Method". If I remember correctly, located near Mobile, Alabama.

His method, I think, is a breakout of a range during a specific timeframe, such as 0930ET to 1015 ET. For example, if you are trading the S&P, and the S&P and Dow and NASDAQ are breaking out of that timeframe's range and the TICK and TRIN agree with the breakout, you trade in the direction of the breakout. Uses software to give the trader a green light or hold signal.

  10. Well last September I knew zero about the stock market. I was introduced to the Magus Real Time Navigator. I have a math background and I found it exciting to see math and pattern recognition combined to display the sentiment of traders.

Since then I have taken the courses, downloaded the demo, simulated and I am now ready to open a live account. All this is free, kind of like they have 'put their money where their mouth is'. They believe you will do well by trading on RTN so all training, technical support is included in the commission for the trading.

    Check it out
