  1. Good advice, thanks :)

    para 1 is correct

pride is only demonstrated here at ET because of this sickening fact: THEY wwant you to fail, they die to see another fail, they cannot afford to let even one escape the HERD. How rare is it at ET to congratulate one on a good call? Rarer than the rarest diamond. In real life in the real world I don't need to toot, the congrats come in swiftly. ET is a different animal. Tooting is a countermeasure like assault against submarines. :):D:D:D

spend more time seeking to benefit someone ................ I support numerous people who are less fortunate. And not all are women.

There is another forum that used to be quite famous, so they say, its in another country and they meet 3 times per year face to face and know each other personally and view trading records of new entrants. It was before my time so I never posted there but did go to one of the meetings for Christmas invited by a member. It was beautiful. 80% said they were getting slottered, the remaining 20% only about 2-3 had decent earnings and even they had scar tissue.

  2. Think about this:

Let's say from Trading Records we discover 5 people here at ET who are way above average in trading ........... therefore we know who they are. So, every morning at market open we make a beeline for their posts to see what they are going to trade for the day. ODDS are immediately in OUR favor as these are proven gents.

Now dig this: what if these 5 gents pool in their resources in preparatiion for market moves and with different approaches put out their analysis? WE, the traders are just simply going to make loads of money. Why? Because the ODDS are greatly in our favor. Talk about a stunning EDGE

Imagine where ET would be!!!! Imagine the good fortune of the new fellas who come in.

And all it takes is 3 - 5 guys to lead.

But this will not be allowed to happen. Why? Because Failure is the goal, keeping people stupid is the goal. Welcome to planet Earth.

You see ET as one being, a sort of cult. A comune of like minded poster who obey an higher order...
I am definitely not an elite trader, but I have read this forum for years and I don't see the same thing. I think you are allucinating. Maybe the EU dd?

That would be cool to have those come back. There were some amazing people posting back then, sadly most don't seem to come around anymore, or very rarely.
My 2 cents on night flying, it is best to get that IFR rating. Too easy to become disoriented at night when it is mostly dark and can be a bit hairy flying into a city with multiple airports at night. I speak from the been there done that position.

  5. I do NOT need your agreement. :):D

I repeat ............ ET = one being, one head, trade alike, get bothered by small moves going against them, never ever gave it thought to let a stock or instrument roam a range within their amplitude of hold the position and give it room to breathe. They act as one and the older lions job is to keep young lion entrants out or expel them quick - contrary to NATURE

I read the whole thing, but once I saw "1957 de Havilland Beaver", it brought back a memory.

Many moons ago, we used to go fly-in fishing in Canada. Unbelievable times. Drop a worm in the water and get a walleye within a couple of minutes, while being the only people within miles.

There was a hotshot young pilot who used to like showing off. I have a lot of experience in small planes, so I always volunteered to sit in the right seat. This guy was a daredevil. I kept my mouth shut, because it takes a lot to make me uncomfortable in a small plane

One year, we showed up and asked where this cool pilot was. The response was "He's in prison."

He was flying to low and misjudged his altitude. Flipped the plane and a guy died.

Be careful out there folks. In trading, and in life.

While I enjoy your line of thinking, the final conclusion is based on a false premise.

If one hasn't developed enough discernment to recognize the quality of someone's posts based upon a recognized experience, then it attracts a low-bar type of attention. If you mine the older posts in this forum when social media first gained some traction, there are epic traders that don't have a lot of "likes" and a lot of their threads are filled with noise from low-bar folks that are constantly trolling.

There are those that chase $$ and look for "get rich quick" and therefore want to see proof in the form you are suggesting. However even when that proof is given, the generally tendency is to discount it and further troll using whatever excuse that the proof is not enough.

There are others that seek understanding and more aligned with "get rich slow" and therefore have their attention drawn to a completely different set of information.

I've spent close to seven figures on my "tuition" to various markets in the form of courses, signals, membership groups, mismanaged trades and realized losses over decades of participation. Some of them provided more value than another yet all contributed to increasing my own discernment and experience base.

There is no "easy way" to avoid the obstacles that one must transform into opportunities both internal and external. In fact, early "easy" win's in one's career just set up unrealistic expectations and can be more a hinderance for successive growth - there is always the "next level" one can reach for (or fall to.)

You do have a valid point with your last line, and many groups can be just "crabs in a bucket." Maybe ET is that, maybe not; it really depends on you and what you want to attract more of into your life experience.

For me, in my limited experience here, adding someone on ignore is one less crab pulling me down, one less crab that thinks they are entitled. Some think that confronting another with disrespect or a chip on one's shoulder is the way but it's just self-selection screening.

  8. Good & thoughtful post. Thank you kindly. :)

Yes, discernment is a requirement. However, The TRADING Record dispenses with all sorts of liabilities and disabilities regarding WHO!

  9. W.r.t. your expenditures on "your" tuition .............. I differ only in that I spent gobs of my own free time to study, try out things on charts and so on. I was essentially retired really young so had 12 hours/day to delve into the mysteries of Markets. books were devoured at the rate of 1 per 2 days and were generally quite useless.

My own sweat & work and intention and perseverance and persistence did the job.

I never did join any signal groups, seminar groups, trading courses, or any such thing. I took it from the ground up by first learning fundamental analysis. shitcanned it the moment I saw the room for fudging in balnce sheets and so on. Then came TA. I took to it like a bat out of Hell and never looked back.

Nowadays I'm essentially all alone in analysis and decision making and consult nobody.

  10. In a related parallel I did the same thing as what I am calling for here, namely TRADING RECORDS .......... but in the field of Sales Closing for high high high commissions, sky high commissions, obscene commissions

I was an aborning sales closer but was surrounded by losers who were making 3k/month. I just knew the job had far more it could give. But where the heck to find the achievers?

I started digging and went to several companies, got easily hired and then spent time askig the sales managers for who was the top producer? I was still not satisfied with what I found after talking to 4 or 5 of such guys.

Then serendipitiously I ran into THE ONE. He saw the sincerity and took me on. I never looked back. Within a month he shitcanned 14 of his sales crew and told me, "Me and thee are going to double team, me from home while I keep you out in the field closing deals.

He tott me all the closing techniques that I still use till today and then of course some of myown I develped that are along the lines of my personality.

We made so much f**kin money it was obscene.

WHAT GAVE ME THE IMPETUS? His Sales closing record and IRS income statement for 3 years before I agreed to let him be my Mentor.

He is from Barstow, California. :)
