No joke, I have 9 airplanes (4 that are flyable). Went up in one an hour ago. Money does buy joy, but love (of what you are doing, or who you are with) creates happiness.
seriously? what planes do you have? I assume you have your private pilots license and instrument rating since an hour ago would be anywhere between 9-11pm. I’m working on my private Pilots license but it’s a slow go unfortunately. Second time just before solo and I have to put it on hiatus for personal reasons.
Yet your biggest worry is others' record? Dumbass.... Going out for food and ammo would make more sense.
Done that already. Bunker fully stocked. Others' trading record is not a worry at all it is a quest to discover WHO deserves to dine at my table as an equal
Not to be nit picky, but you don't need an IFR rating to fly at night. You DO need a special cert, but IFR is another step.
I hear ya. My dad told me the story of when he got his night cert. He was up at night and said to himself "This sucks!" He was IFR certified shortly thereafter. God, I miss that tough old Marine. (way off topic. Sorry, guys and gals)
This is a fascinating essay from The New Yorker written by the wife of a pilot who files small planes. It is entertaining. It is very moving. And it is deadly serious. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2021/08/02/flight-plan
