Anyone trade /NG (natural gas)? I've been trading /NG exclusively almost 4 years now and I am very happy with it. It's almost immune to headline news and it's very trendy time to time. TA is universal but I think each asset has its own characteristics. As a one minute based day trader, I don't need anything others. By the way, my trading income mostly comes from /NG calendar spread tradings.
yes and no, don’t trade ng but cl, similar but never enter positions as combo, and buy the dip, sell the rip, consistently profitable..
Not NG but CL exclusively before. I think it's related to trade frequency per month. Now, my methodology produces low frequency per month per instrument. So, I also trade other symbols but only take A++ setup for other instruments and trade all grades setup for CL.
It is better to be a professional at trading one asset than to try to trade all assets in a row and know practically nothing about them.
There are thousands of full-time traders in the trading houses. Not a single trader trades just one asset only!
You are talking professional traders trading institution funds? The two successful full time retail traders I know, one trades options, exclusively on AAPL only, the other day trading QQQ exclusively, both profitable for over a decade.
I know a trader who trades only XAUUSD, using volume information from several paid trading terminals, his entry points are just great. The volatility of this pair is more than enough for him to earn good money on it alone. I am not as professional as he is, so I trade less volatile pairs such as EURUSD, which has very low spreads at my broker fxopen, but here the stop losses will be much smaller, unlike highly volatile pairs.
