R..Happy New Year to you too! For anyone who's interested, Infinity Futures has that feature, where you can set the daily loss limit. Good luck with Forex Schaefer
Rashid, You make some very good points. Funny thing is on my first post this year I outlined some boundaries for myself as to how I will manage my trading day. I have yet to implement those ideas because in the past if I were to start off down for the day, I usually can make it back as long as I stick to what I know price will do. Lately it hasn't worked that way and I find myself a bit puzzled with the price action, and taking some big hits along the way. Time will tell whether I prevail or become another statistic.
I hear you Instynct... I have made the forced account protection comment before and some think that is the Job of the Trader.... To that I say the Male trader ego can be something to behold. To say "I am weak" in this or that and could use help is Taboo such a "crutch" lessens the towering greatness of the trader. I am convinced Women would likely make better traders... BUT they probably won't risk anything. Rashid
Thanks LL, I read your YM journal and saw that also. I did not do the numbers, but it looks like you are doing ok so far. I suspect you are not the "neewbie" you proclaim to be.
4 Small scalps today, all winners. Talked to a good friend last night, and he advised that I just shoot for small winners for the next several days or weeks to regain some confidence and with the goal of just ending in the green, so I'm taking his advice. I know this will work for me as I have done so in the past, but haven't really thought about it until it was pointed out to me. Confidence is everything. On thing to note, Nas100 is trading at decade's high, we haven't seen these prices since 2001. Definitely protect those profits.
