I wouldn't put something like this in my living room. It looks very old and also it would ruin the design of my living room. My living room is separated into two zones, one is for watching TV and another zone is my office. There I have an office desk, chair, my computer, a small Bibliotheque with my books and a sofa for reading that books. I have several problems with my back, so I was choosing the furniture for my office a lot. I wanted it to look good and also to be comfortable because I am working almost all the time at the computer. Luckily I didn't have problems with finding it.
