Trading NSE futures (India)

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by brokershopping, Jan 31, 2011.

  1. Are citizens of the US allowed to trade futures on the NSE?

I just pulled up some charts of the nifty50 and some other stuff via my IB demo account, but I can't trade them due to account permission problems. I have the appropriate permissions checked in account settings, so I am wondering if US traders are excluded.

The charts look like great traders, though.

i think u can be in the US and trade the NSE thru IB. but you have to prove youre an INDIAN citizen or somthing. thats just what ive been told dont know if its tru tho.

  3. Currently you have to be a resident or an NRI (Non Resident Indian), however, customers can trade the Nifty at IB on the SGX.

  4. Thank you for pointing that out.

All three contracts are offered through IB.
