I agree a lot of Krav is BS, but some of their training is legit and has value. The legit schools practice full contact. Put the pads on, get rushed by 10 guys trying to knock your head off, avoid going to the ground, and bust out one side and run. Sometimes they actually pull it off. No other art practices that with full resistance, so I have to hand it to them on that point.
bjjtrader, well, then you just keep proving my point - style is not what matters - evolving, keeping an open mind is what matters. And that is within the prerogative of a fighter, not any style. Q.E.D.
I did no such thing. You failed to answer all my questions that clearly showcase that styles matters. Recognizing value in a technique/drill of a certain style, simply proves that style matters, because other styles dont have that technique or drill. I wouldnt take up tai-chi to practice getting away from 10 guys trying to beat me down. Id take Krav for that. BECAUSE STYLES MATTER. Its so clear. Go answer my questions.
Any training has some value. Kyokushinkai practice full contact. Muay Thai practice full contact. Escrima practice full contact. Systema practice full contact. I did full contact Tai Chi with some Italian nut job, and was unable to use my hands for writing or typing for almost 2 weeks after the first practices.
Technique matters. Styles matter nothing. An open mind set is what is most important. You are just being zealous and unreasonable. I understand your point, but I completely disagree - and it is the importance of the fighter and his mindset that matters. Just like in real life and trading... You are being religious - showing faith in a system.
Yesterday, Lula signed the deal to change Brazilian Portuguese from January 1st, 2009 - along with 8 other Portuguese speaking nations. Portuguese in Brazil is much more "evolved" than in Portugal, since they have included a lot more words - and "gÃria" (slang) from Bahia and farther north.
No - you are simply dodging the TOUGH questions. Go look at the sherdog style list and tell me why tai-chi and aikido are not on the list considering there are so many practitioners around the world. Tell me why not a single mma champ studies aikido and tai-chi for fighting. Answer: BECAUSE THEY ARENT EFFECTIVE STYLES FOR FIGHTING. You just cant admit the obvious. You are too attached to your position at this point. Styles matter and the stats prove it beyond any doubt.
Hahaha, you are a zealous crazy BJJ nut. If you knew what we say about Sherdoggers (aka shitdoggers) on the largest tracker for MMA in the world - where we have all the instructional videos, lots of professional MMA, BJJ and other practitioners .. hehehe. I've debated martial arts for years, and that's why I'm a VIP member there... and not because of my slightly above average share ratio. Of course no one are stupid enough to enter a MMA fight only using BJJ, boxing, Judo or any other style... Because style does not matter - it is ALL about the fighter, including his physique, stamina and mental state. In a real fight - you would be equally stupid trusting your "invincible style".
When you have clearly lost an argument, you resort to name calling and appeal to some kind of weak authority because you are a website VIP member??!?!?! Are you being serious? This is a JOKE right HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.... Shitdoggers have nothing to do with sherdogs style stats which prove you are wrong. You have no rebuttal, so that ends the debate. Styles matter. You copped out. Thanks for playing.
