Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

  1. Here is a video of Rorion Gracie fighting yet another Hapkido instructor

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RawPYGzYOQ

    Please explain:

    1) Why he didnt just wrist lock Rorion :D
    2) Why reaching for Rorions groin failed :D

answer: Because the crap doesnt work and they would know it if they spent lots of time practicing realistically instead of doing an eye scratch kata 10,000 times :)

Ive had friends try to tell me the same stuff. I offer to fight them using purely submissions and no striking and they can do ANYTHING they want to, ANYTHING.

It always ends quickly and they never get a chance to go for the groin, or wrist lock, or throat strike, or any other nonsense. Why? Because they are taken down, their back is taken and a choke applied before they can even consider any of the above. Or I simply pull them into an arm lock in 2 seconds, its trivial. If you dont practice it every week against resisting opponents, it doesnt work, and if you did, you would quickly realize these techniques are not all that effective when someone is trying to take your head off or knowing jiu jitsu.

I would love to see a hapkido/aikido guy fight a muay thai fighter, in a bare knuckle match. There would be no eye gouging, scratching or groin/throat strikes. There would only be a guy being sent to the hospital who was a bag of bloody bones. You would never get close enough before you were beaten to a pulp to use any of those "deadly" techniques.

Im glad this kung fu theatre mythology has finally been shattered, although many people still believe some of the nonsense with no evidence to back it up.

  2. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
BJJ was *DEVELOPED AND TESTED WHILE STREET FIGHTING*

BJJ is less effective in a ring actually, because the rules work against grapplers. There are no free standups in a street fight. There are no elbow strikes to the spine when you have somones back in mma, etc.

As for multiple opponents, its a kung fu theatre myth. No style works consistently well against multiple opponents. (unless your opponents are retards in business suits who have no idea how to fight at all)

The best thing to do is RUN like hell, and the person with the best takedown defense is mostly likely to get away before they are put on their back. That would be a grappler.

    Try this HL:

Probably the best one I have seen. I love the ending, should keep those who don't know that fight guessing.

  4. Exactly. Style matters and this has been proven many many times. If style didnt matter then K1 kickboxing would have as many TKD and Karate champs as it does Muay Thai champs, but it DOESNT.

Hold a fighting comp with 100 TKD schools versus 100 BJJ schools.
Hold a fighting comp with 100 TKD schools versus 100 muay thai schools

OUTCOME: TKD loses 90+% of its fights against both schools.

WHY??? Its not because the BJJ/MT schools just happened to pick the best students. Its because STYLES MATTER.

    Its not even debateable

  5. Yet another brainwashed BJ guy. Multiple opponent fights happen all the time. Sure, no style works *consistently* well against multiple opponents but BJ doesn't work AT ALL. Sure it's better to get the hell out but what if you can't? Gonna roll around on the ground is some homoerotic technique while his friends crush your face with a brick? Don't worry, Big John Mc Carthy will come to your rescue.

  6. Actually, multiple opponent fights are quite rare, and if you did any homework you would know this. Ive done the research and have reviewed thousands of street fight videos. A tiny percentage are multiple opponent, so now that we know you havent a clue, lets move on.

BJJ doesnt work at all??? Really??? This is pure ignorance on your part. If you knew anything about BJJ at all, you would know it comes from Judo and that we study all the Judo throws. Throw and run is a good tactic. Take down defense and run is a good tactic against multiple opponents. Of course you can punch too and run. Stand and fight is a good way to be bum rushed and tackled to the ground, where you are dead meat. At least if you have some grappling skills, you have a chance of getting back up and running, but a striker on his back is stuck there. Being a grappler, you are less likely to be taken down in the first place, unless a pure striker.

" homoerotic technique"??? You can always spot the in the closet homo on the forum when they say stuff like this. Nice job gay boy LOLOLOL
Sorry the thought of rolling around with other men gets you so excited LOLOL

  8. Why not expand to a general grappler who has both BJJ and wrestling skills.

why could he not suplex a guy right into his friends , or a standing RNC and use him like a shield .

I doubt if any group of street " fighters" would be interested after seeing their friend crash into them at head height or the sound of him gurrgling as he struggles to stay awake.

You already let that little secret slip

"Never had to - never will" <---- LMFAOOO , keep dreaming, as if you had a choice. A grappler would destroy you in seconds, and you'd love every minute of it homo boy LOL
