Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

  1. IRON FIST.... AGREED... as a Muay thai fighter myself 18-3-1 :) i started since i was 5 my mom was a marine and threw me into it. point of the matter is yeah there is some sim. between ma and trading but you have to remember with trading and ma everything is a modifiable model. muay thai while yes extremely effective is actually watered down because real muay boran is REALLYY to deadly to be put into a ring. thats why they illegalized alot of the moves at the beginning of the ufc when the people where on their knees on the mat and the fighter would take their head and bash their knees into it ... the bad thing was the brain was damaged so hard from the move because the body couldnt absorb the blow because the head was being held and the body was being held down and couldnt move from the impact... there are times when things are to deadly for sport... aka"downward striking elbows to top of skull" also i have seen a MT fighter destroyed by this "qi" engery fighter before remember taichi is a model and from this basic energy transfer model - san shou was formed... also known as san shou : muay thai killer. everything has a purpose everything exhists for a reason... its the reasoning behind the use and application that is the error

  3. Nonsense. Either a fake MT fighter or a 1 in a million fluke. qi is gargabe

More hype. San Shou is an MT rip off and has only recently held its own against MT. MT's record is far far above san shou's over all.

very interesting thoughts, thank you for taking the time

I just can't stop thinking that with martial arts, the warrior assumes honesty and honor on the parts of his/her opponents.

With trading, assuming honesty and honor may be the quickest path to the poor house

  8. Can you hit a resisting opponent with his chin tucked down in the neck?

Traditional karate techniques are very effective when practiced on your partner who isn't moving.

Trying to hit a resisting opponent with pressure point, dim mak, in the eyes, in the neck, etc., is extremely difficult.

Not to mention the adrenaline dump in a real fight and your fine motor coordination goes out the window.

In an actual fight, at best you have decent gross motor coordination (i don't care how many 1000s of times you've done intricate stuff in practice... adrenaline dump = no fine motor coordination = you won't be able to do it), which is why boxing and muay thai techniques work best for standup fighting.

  9. it's nothing more than a very long winded and self indulgent version of the axiom "those who can, do. those who cant, teach", presented as though you were the 'Columbus' who had first discovered it (and therefore, must give great detail to explain all of the nuances of it - lol), with an excuse to take your hobby of martial arts out of the chit chat section into 'trading' section

In a way, you're doing what you accuse others of - elevating yourself to the role of 'great mentor' while really offering nothing, but at least not asking for credit card and expiration date

  10. Ok.

How am I mentoring anyone? The only thing I told people to do was not be content with insufficient answers.

Unless somewhere in this thread I gave trading advice and have subsequently forgotten about it
