The answer is either "the guy will do some chores" or "he brings to the table skills that I do not have". There is also value in redundancy - if you have a junior, at least you can take vacations
Just ask questions here. Politely ask members if you can PM them if you want more in depth answers. I've been in this forum less than a year, and have given free advice to many lost traders. If someone asks for money, they're a piece of shit. Since I primarily do this for a living, I can tell who is full of shit. You may have have a harder time separating the wheat from the chaff on ET

I attend three separate trading groups. I enjoy them and often learn something new. I don't have a mentor to recommend. I have mentored a few (seven) people. Four of my students are profitable; two are not currently trading; and I lost contact with the seventh, so I don't know how she's doing. Three of my students were women; four were men. I conduct an interview and get to know people before accepting them as students. Most people never get beyond that, because I can tell they don't have the stomach for trading.
