I'm currently 2 SHORT on Nasdaq -$810, 2 LONG on oil -$110, -$700 since beginning of journal. For oil 72.7 target.
Hope they are not hurting you as they are doing to me since I'm trading with my money! I'm -$700 since start of diary, the oil position should recover that pretty quickly I think.
Depends if I'm scalping or swining. For the particular consecutive Nasdaq short trades where I failed I was shorting on what I was seeing as resistance range on the 5, 15, 30 min chart.
Been there and done that for the first 10 years and I went through your pains or worst... It took another five more years to get disciplined and sharpening my trading skills... You seem doing quite well with CL. Why not stick to it to make consistent money first? Meanwhile, take your time so you can fully understand how PAs work for NQ first before committing your money into it.
Recap of the 3 days of trading: Day 1: Max profit about $700 I think then last trade of Nasdaq blew $500 up and ended the day with a mere $200 profit. Day 2: Up to US market open was all good, about +$1200 even after missing at least 3 good entries by few ticks. Then I decided to short Nasdaq with a small stop loss, looking at a big return of at least 70 points, I got stopped 5 times in a row blowing up the whole $1200 profit of the day. Ended with $5 profit... Day 3: Overnight start with 2 Nasdaq contracts on short with stop at 20195, and 2 CLX contracts on long. Added 2 more CLX contracts in the morning. Average CLX24 being 71.548.
It looks promising. For the next few hours, I will be focusing on China A50 & Hangseng (and perhaps copper) because of the recent China stimulus policy.
