It was holding well. I'm waiting for this stock to have a nice spike assuming it holds todays gains which will help forecast a more stable picture. Currenntly, that's not happening.

I'm done trading for the day. This market is to choppy while channels, support/resistance, and TA have no bearing on any stocks movement today.

Newbie here. Yesterday I did pretty good - made 5 trades of 100 shares and came out + on 4 of the 5, so figured today I would extend myself a bit and trade some larger lots- ouch! No big losses, but things were awful choppy - I gave up at noon.

    Hoping Monday is better...

Beginning Monday June 3rd I will start the new June trading thread: TRADING JOURNAL - JUNE

For the month of May I profitted $43,942. I averaged about 6-8 executions a day which is roughly $1500 comm. for the month. I don't include comm. in my P&L.
YTD I have a profit of $203,274. I was a tad above my monthly average which I am more than satisfied with considering the market conditions in May. This summer will be tough to maintain that average due to the seasonal slow down but look forward to the challenge. I have also recovered about 8K of the 10K due to daytrading this week that I lost on the PALM trade that I closed a few days ago. I feel very fortunate to have the week I did and plan on continued success into June. I might have to tweak my DT style a bit depending on volume and volatility in the coming month.

I don't understand this statement. NAS declined steadily from 1:00 pm, and QCOM went down right with it. Granted, it's been choppy, but the trend was DOWNWARD all afternoon. You went long QCOM against the overall trend playing for a bounce in the channel but the relentless decline was not to be denied. You were simply stopped out when the support didn't hold.

This is how I see it. While I am prepared to change my opinion under compelling argument :) I just don't see how you conclude that "channels, S/R and TA have NO bearing on any stocks movement today". The overall market was in a decline and support levels simply got busted.

BTW, nice trading the past few months. Pleasure to watch you work.

The trend this afternoon was downward overall, but look how many gaps were in that trend (upside and downside). I only followed 5 stocks today that didn't follow the Naz trend tick for tick. The volatility of those stocks coupled with the fact that the Naz was gapping back and forth (now that we can look back) creating an overall downtrend is a formula for inconsistency in individual stocks vs. TA and mostly uncertainty. The MMs stepped up today and tried to control the markets which they succeeded in. Granted, channels, S/R were broken but there are only a few other indicators to trade off of and if your not in the same mind set as the MM moving your stock, you're screwed. That's why I stopped trading for the day. I couldn't adjust my thinking and expectations and strategy to the market today so I realized I'm better off preparing for Monday and leaving today alone. Hope that answers your question.

  10. Hi Seanote,

This week I tried to follow your trades. Sometime I just
sceam - "come on 'Note, just execute out - you have made
some profit and the tick bars are definitely STALLING - get out now instead of taking a loss".

I must admit I don't cut much slack for you since you are
a Pro. and can get in and out of the market in an zinch. On the other hand, some of your opening plays were just
    brilliant.

When one post trades without explaination - it begs for comments - I apologize in advance for my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.
