  2. Does your stops stay open overnight on Nasdaq stocks, because i thought ARCA(only ECN that i know of that accepts stop orders)cancels all open orders at the end of the day?

  3. The 3rd will definitely fire today (RSI turning down), and I went long yesterday using the VIX action as a key criterion. However, the VIX seems to now be in an uptrend while the indicies are in downtrends so I will not wear out my welcome on the long side.

I set my stops on an alert server so no one knows what my stop price is until the bid or ask triggers the alert, then the order is sent out.

    Seanote,
I have been more than impressed and inspired by your trading over the last few months, but this takes it all. If you shorted on Monday(?) you never had the trade against you for more than 1.5 points (even so, $3k) and have held 3/4 of it for 20 points (as of now) and I suspect you got better than that on the ten contracts you took off (up to almost 40 points). Nice risk/reward.

I'm reviewing the charts you mentioned. My futures charts go 24 hours, so I don't think they quite line up with yours. Are you saying the 30 minute candle on 5/31 at 10:30-11:00, and the 13 minute on 6/3 at 13:30 eastern time? (my closest 13 minute candle starts at 13:25 EST). Let me say upfront I am not a candlestick expert by any means, but if my times are right, I see a bearish harami cross on the 30 minute, and a sort of bullish reversal hammer on the 13 minute that broke the low of day. If you could verify my times are right I would appreciate it so I'm not trying to read something into these patterns if I'm staring at the wrong ones.

I appreciate you keeping this thread going and would love to see you post more of your futures trades.

The symbol is $VIX and it measures the Market Volatility Index. Also watch $TRIN (NYSE short term trading index) and $TRIQUE (NAZ short term trading index). Your software should get these quotes.
