That is ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS!!!! Those damn jurors voted 11-1 on that ruling. They should have given the plantiff a couple 100 Mill. and spread the rest to organizations and charities that acutally need money like that! We don't have money to pay the good teachers what they're worth but we can give $28B to one inidvidual??? This country is F*&^ED UP!

  4. Couldn't agree more Seanote. No doubt the award gets reduced but the combination of scumbag lawyers, highly politicized judges and moronic Ophracized jurors have ruined our legal system, which was once the pillar of our country. Now it is worse than Zimbabwe's. They actually have judges who make courageous rulings with the very real threat of bodily harm.

  5. Surprise, surprise, it's a California case... well, we have the Trial Lawyer's lobby to thank for yet another one. Hope the lady's lawyer makes a generous donation - his fee should be around $10 billion. LOL. (but as AAA said, it will certainly be reduced)

on the positive side, this will provide a lot of ammuntion for the tort reform movement - even better than the $3 million coffee spill case....

Listen in my opinion anyone who sucks on smokes took the decision. Even little kids understand how addictive smoking is. Somebody has to put a "stick in the wheel" before this economy ends up like Zimbabwe.

Seagate don't be too pissed off. Yesterday I received a tax "reassessment" of 1999 return for $6739-00 which is in addition to what they took already. With all the effing money they snatch from me I can't see I'm getting my money's worth. I've been totally pissed off last night and today consequently I can't see the woods for the trees.
