Vinny thanks mucho for your replies.......you must have a great hit ratio...wish you much luck in the future
Could Vinny1 or anybody that will take time please explain to me what it means to follow the futures? How do you follow the futures? I think Vinny already answered the why for me in his post. I consider myself fairly well educated on the market, but my obvious lack of this knowledge proves I've got a long way to go. Are these symbols just entered into your software and they illustrate the trend of various markets. Anybody wanna help a brother out? Thanks!
Nice posts, although by the time you're posting your entries the exits seem to have already been filled For your time frame you should pop in the chatroom and post there instead. Great trading day!
Everytime i went in the chat room,i'd get booted off. Also,i wanted to keep a journal of my trades with the time stamps.
Personally, I've never had luck in following the futures when I do momentum trades. If you superimpose the COMP or a market stock (like MSFT) over a futures chart, you'll find that they move lock step with each other and in many cases, the individual stock will LEAD the futures. I think the futures are overrated. I just watch the Level 2 price action and 5 min & 30 min chart patterns for the particular stock I'm trading. Or I'll type up the QQQs in another Level 2 box if I want a dynamic view of the Nasdaq market.
