Trading is NOT a business

  1. Hello Trader666

Yes I saw that and a lot more. One of the sites I found was quite interesting - my first impression was "Oh My GOD what the Hell is This" - it looked like the ramblings of a mad man - then I began to get it - Jack definitely was not Mad!

Actually he reminded me a lot of my departed father - who was also eccentric and brilliant.

Jack's Posts helped me to connect the dots.

Hopefully I can connect enough to end up with a working solution.

As far as what I found - well, you are on your own.

    Take Care Trader666!

  2. One More Thing Trader666

    Your results are not surprising!

I have found that unless a trading system is precisely documented - and not executed within the same environment that it was tested - the results can vary wildly.

I am not trying to duplicate Jack's system, I am trying to see what he sees - and so far he has x-ray eyes!

My system will be an embodiment of his insight (and mine) - the implementation will be my own.

  3. If you want to confuse gibberish like this with brilliance, good luck!

If you really pursue it, I predict you'll end up like these "success stories." Again, good luck :p

  5. This may interest you in a year or two when you reach Stage 4 :p

    Stages of a Hershey Trader

Cocaine is a great example of the stages a Hershey trader goes through while studying Jack's "teachings." However, each Hershey Trader's progress in transitioning from one stage to the next can vary and it's not always linear... there can be regression to a former stage or stages. For example, when nwbprop publicly flamed out he accepted it and moved on with his life but he still appears every now and then having regressed to Stages 2 and 3. Also note that Stage 3 (Denial) is not always denial that the Hershey Trader traded the Hershey "method," it can be any form of denial such as denial of failure.

Stage 1 -- Eagerness and Ingratiation

Would someone like Spyder, Mak, Procrast etc care to shed some light on the opening channel from today, and if you have a carry over channel in play, would you mind explaining that as well. Thanks guys!!

Stage 2 -- Delusion and Defensiveness

These strong detractors are angry that Jack is giving away the "keys to the kingdom" so they feel the need to spread as much bad press as they can for damage control.

    Stage 3 -- Denial

Also, please link where I said I personally TRADE the Hershey method. Where I tell everyone that I trade SCT. Go on, show me.

    Stage 4 -- Acceptance

I dont know if "SCT" works and I dont know that Jack Hershey even trades. I have no idea of either of those things. I personally think Jack is nuts

  6. Until I know better I have no reason to doubt Jack - I will make my own decison about him - you and others have made yours.

Regardless of how this turns out, his posting's have opened my eyes - I am looking at charts and their corresponding data differently - things I did not consider.

I will probably post the result of my discoveries - good, bad or otherwise - after I have had a chance to test them.

I have learned a lot from these forums - folks like "sanuson", "byteme" and "jazzguysoca" to name a few have challenged and explained things I was unaware of.

When I get a chance to do so, I will also incorporate news scrubbers into my app (something that was brought to my attention elsewhere) - there seems to be a high (and very direct ) correlation between news and market action - in all time frames.

    Take Care.:)

  8. Hello Optionpro007,

The statement was all inclusive. I found this to be the case when others tried to duplicate my own trading systems.

Unfortunately my systems execute profitably on my app - and no other companies app - just the way it is - so I have found.

  9. Meant to say "Fortunately my systems..."

No, this was not a Freudian slip.
