Some monkeys get so used to looking at round bars that they see everything in straight lines. The odd auld clink clank of a rusty old metal bar dragged along the horizontal verticals does wonders to get them out of their stuper. Or, in good old layman's tongue, most people need a good auld kick up the ass to wake them up from the dream world they are living in, and then they might start to see that what they have in life is a direct result of the way they carry on and act, and that if they are not doing well, then they are more than likely not behaving in the best manner, and they must change how they behave before they will see any real changes in what they have. The Circle of Life. The Bible has, btw, most of what is required by all, but as most read it as a story book, which has been used by the feeble minded control freaks to do nothing more than control people for centuries, it's real value has disappeared into oblivion, but there are a few clever ones that have started to use it to make money, by labeling it as NEWLY DISCOVERED ANCIENT self-improvement techniques, whereas the details have, and will be, there for all who want to use them, till the end of time. The majority of people are stupid and silly, and I do not mean this in a sarcastic way, but in a factual way, and it is because of no fault of their own, it has been handed down to them from ignorant parents who just found themselves in the same position - the Circle of Life will stay the same for all those who let it be so. However, in order to benefit one must first understand that certain Laws are in operation - fail to observe the Laws and it will backfire on you as sure as the Sun will rise each and every day. HERE IS THE REAL GOLDEN RULE Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Topic: Action Source: "Golden Rule", Matthew (ch. VII, v. 12) Maybe I am a GurUilla after all But now, after that ye have known God, or rather or known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Author: Bible Source: Galatians (ch. IV, v. 9)
Before any more trades are done and a wrap up completed, it might be worth considering a few more Bible quotes? Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Topic: Blindness Source: Matthew (ch. XV, v. 14) So the topic is Blindness! We all know this does not literally mean real blindness, but how about it meaning "mindlessly following someone else" will just result in your falling down? It really is amazing how many people gather together as herds, with like attracting like. Just look at most of the posts on this site! Someone starts out with good intentions, then an idiot jumps in with his smart comments and before you know it there is a small army of ants all over the place. Then, the OP gives up and the thread is buried in the graveyard like all the rest, and off we go again - the Circle of Life again! If you believe in something then stand up for it, and argue your point, not in silly words like the idiots do, but in truthful and meaningful words. Ask the moderator why he/she is allowing such things to happen? What is the purpose of a moderator if he/she does not do anything? Have they been instructed to just keep the "hit counts" high so the advertisers pay their monthly bills? Ask the owner to reply, for he is accountable like anyone else! The world is your oyster - but do not suck up a bad one. If you speak out then others will notice, and it may be one of those others that can actually help you - this should be your goal when posting, not to satisfy the idiots who will do the same thing over and over - they are doomed to eternal damnation as their Fathers before them, and they will also pass the same damnation on to their children. Do not let anyone else ruin your life, or your childrens life. Speak up for what you believe is true, and even if you are wrong it will not matter, for as .long as you are honest and truthful it will come right, it has to, the Law does not allow it to be any other way!

Your intentions are good NoDoji, but an astute person will accept what is without having to know the reasons why, for they are indeed many, and get to work on what is best for to improve on the win / loss ratio, for it is no good one having all small losers if one has no winners. Again, I know exactly what it is you speak of, and I know exactly how it is you feel, for I have done all of it in the past, much to my amusement at this stage of my life, as I could have been a more content person had I opened my mind fully when I commenced on the trading journey. A good few years ago, I made a post on a website when this posting thing was only just starting, and a person made one simple comment, straight to the point and no long winded story, and I can remember it as clear as day now, and it was this, "More is less" What happened next, was that I lost it of course, what does this idiot know that I do not know, after all I had my 10 monitors and fast connection, how dare someone tell me that "More is less" That person, unknown to himself, actually started a chain of events in my life that led me to move on to bigger and better things, and all because I took the time to reflect on what he said, how I reacted, and what was the reality of the situation. It might sound that this is all about me, but it is not, it is all about YOU, and how YOU can if you so desire be not like the majority of the herd, and by the mere act of thinking can greatly shorten the journey to profitable trading. If only I knew then what I know know
You do realize the bible says two opposite things at the same time is true, you can't really use it as a good guideline. It is pro-life and pro-death It is pro-slavery and anti-slavery It is pro independent female, and pro-dependent female. All at the same time!
It depends on how you interpret the text! Post some excerpts and we will examine to see if they could possibly mean different things to different people. If I asked you to stand on one leg, you might stand on your right leg, while another might stand on his/her left leg! I am no expert on the Bible, but I would make a fair guess that it was not all written by the same person?
The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48 NLT) If you do not carry out due diligence you may well regret it. But if you truly believed that you have done the required work beforehand, that is fine, for you will then see your errors and you will not regret it as much. Hard work (thinking) in understanding is required for anything of real value, and the more effort you put in to understanding the greater the reward.
Why do you, and others, keep mentioning Jack and his losers? Post the details and we will ask Jack to clear it up, as I would think that there is a simple explanation? Losing (correctly) is a big, and very important, part of trading, in fact, it is much more important than winning!
I find that hard to believe, but maybe Jack can clear it up? You are either right or wrong, and it should not be a big deal to get the truth? BTW, we have to respect an individuals choice as to whether he/she wants to show any part of their trading account, but posting a few trades in real time is a good indication of whether a trader is real or not, providing they post the details as they happen, not after the event. Also, most good software packages now have the ability to show the executed trades, such as ninja trader, and I might use this to demonstrate to some how losing correctly is required in order to win. I am actually surprised that ninja trader provides their software for free, and you only pay to turn on the live trading feature - imho, every trader should try it out, as it costs nothing and has some very good features - I am currently looking at using it for trading, but I have not fully decided as of yet, still some testing to do with it.
MrCharts, I'm starting to enjoy this thread. How about giving us a hint about your last persona. Best Regards Johno
