Trading is a Giant Scam!

  1. "Nobody can win the markets. Nobody"

Gotta love it when all the losers offer this bit of wisdom. I guess it makes them feel better to let everyone else know that because they can't be successful, no one can.

Guess my bank and trading accounts are all figments of my imagination ...

  2. From your "who are you as a trader" post

Sounds like you may have gotten a bit ahead of yourself. Not to say I know the history of your trading but like other traders who DO make a living say, it takes time. If everyone could do this for a living elitetrader wouldn't need sponsors on the forums since they'd be rolling in cash.

Take a break and work a 9-5 job and when you see how boring it is come back and give this another shot.

What the fuck is wrong wich u

    Of Coarse it's a scam.

Life is a scam ... some fucking jerk scammed us (or at least me) into this fuckin life ... fuck him and his like ...

Instead of complainin go get a life ... go fuck people in the eyeball ... go scam their fucking ass ... don't complain ... everyone can complain ... there is nothing perfect ... life sucks through and through ...

I remember when I was in elementary they used to promise us that we will be in space paradise by year 2000 ... we will be rockin those skies ... and all that fuck ... isn't that a fucking scam ... just to get the trillion dollar budget running into NASA ... seriously I don't know what the fuck they do ... but I don't support my tax going in there ... ever since 2000 all their projects have failed ... any private company with all the budget and support they get would have been doing at least something positive ... why doesn't the money go into cheap energy and all that fuckin shit ...

BECAUSE NO ONE GIVES A FUCKING CRAP ABOUT NO ONE... GO FUCKING LEARN THAT ... EVEN IF SOMEONE SAYS IM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS ... THEY AREN'T ... THEY WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SEE YOU LOOSE ... WHY CAUSE YOUR LOSS IS OTHERS PROFIT ... THAT IS HOW LIFE WORKS, THERE IS ONLY A LIMITED AMOUNT OF WEALTH ON THIS FUCKIN PLANET AND NOT EVERYONE IS GONNA GET IT ... THOSE WHO LOOSE WILL MAKE THE SMALL NUMBER OF OTHERS WIN .. OR VISE VERSA ... LIKE THE LOTTERY ...

succesful trading is like any other business endeavour. the risks and pitfalls are so high that the vast majority fails along the way. the fact that you feel that winning is almost impossible is the reflection of the market dynamics. billions of ideas and strategies changing in real time in order to capture an edge, while slippage and comms make the deal extremly tough to every participant. when one places a trade based on whatever assumptions, she is starting from negative territory, as each and every trade is a likely potential loser. the market has an edge over you, as the house has an edge over gamblers. that's pretty much what happens in all aspects of our life. imagine that no matter how succesful you are at what you do, as time goes by, you grow older and thereby you're decreasing your life expectancy.

no one can offer the secret of trading success, as it lies on technical and emotional aspects of the inner you, coupled with luck, a bit of pepper and elitetrader mumbo jambo.

There are lots of "H & S Junkies" who apparently see them all over the place*.

    * also, in virtually every consolidation, "there's an inverted H&S in there somewhere". :D

  7. I wonder if you have any test data that shows your trading method produces profitable results.

A tool does not have to correctly predict the future to be useful.

    A mousetrap

    1) does not predict the future, and
    2) sometimes catches a mouse.

Following are the results of a trading simulation using 37.52 years of weekly historic price data for Altria Group Inc. stock symbol MO. This method buys at the following trading session open if the weekly closing price is greater than the 40 week exponential moving average value, and sells if the weekly closing price is less than the 40 week exponential moving average value. This model simulates trading long positions only.

    Number of trades 45
    Total profit $ 668036
Profit after subtracting $ 10.00 commission, slippage per transaction: $ 667136
Heat is 7.00 per cent of equity.
Greatest drawdown is 0.0599 (5.99 per cent).
Cumulative Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) is 17.78 per cent.
    Initial capital is $ 100000

Growth rate is about 18 % per year, greatest losing streak is about 6 %.

  8. The way of the world is to screw over millions of people to enrich a few. Always will be that way.

  9. Tell that to Linda Raschke, Teresa Lo, Mark Fisher and many other traders who make a living trading.

I cant blame you though. I used to have the exact same thoughts. The only thing that made me a believer was seeing the statement of a professional trader. (he didn't show me willingly).

That being said. It's probably one of the hardest professions on the planet. You probably have a better chance becoming a respected doctor.

P.S. Yes there are a TON of scam artists out there. Its easier then actually teaching someone to trade.

    You are confused.

Plenty of money is made every day.

But not by wannabees in their underwear sitting in front of a $500 computer.
