Here you go Neal -- this guy would be a good fit http://www.businessinsider.com/michael-penn-coffee-stand-for-bank-job-2013-8 surf
I tend to agree. There's no information as to what you have to offer an intern. It definitely raises eyebrows. I've been looking for an intern to help me with acquisitions on my manufacturing side. It's hard to get great people if you aren't a large Tier 1 firm. If you aren't Goldman or JPM, the intern dictates the price.
So what you are saying is "I am so successful at trading that I can't afford to pay someone to help me"! Better yet I will take a struggling grad and take them to the cleaners. Is that correct?
I have been hired for 3 financial jobs and multiple writing gigs off of this site. Never has anyone used a veiled email address or said "unpaid" but you never know--- it could be Anyone.
unpaid isn't even teh problem. he doesn't give any reason for a prospect to call him. my guess is that he doesn't have anything to offer a prospective intern.
Maked sense. You have to have money in order to pay someone. So what do you have to offer the intern? Whars the basic job description for this sucker?
Never said that. I've already laid out the fact that it's UNPAID with the potential to be FULL-TIME. So I am a bit confused by the hostility. Nonetheless, you've already proven you are not qualified because it seems you don't know how to read. Everyone trying to break into trading says they have what it takes; but the truth is most don't. I do not want to invest time and energy training someone who is going to call it quits after a few months. I do not want unnecessary solicitation. Once the hiring process is over and the candidate(s) are chosen; I just dispose the email address and move on. If you have a problem sending information to an 'unknown' email address; you should let craigslist know their job posting board business is going to fail. ################## newwurldmn: The intern will be exposed to all aspects of the FICC trading business. Potential for full-time + benefits + bonus for the RIGHT candidate. IF there is an interest to move forward; you will find out more details. 1-to-1 interviews will happen ON-SITE for EVERYONE chosen for Step #2. This isn't a "cog in the wheel" type job. If you prove to be reliable, punctual and an overall integral part of the daily operations of the group.. base compensation will be the LEAST of your worries.
